...I assume the saw was "planted" there in the ravine, and the "find" was re-enacted for dramatic effect...I think the rusty bar and chain was "added", since the rust and dirt pattern on it is much different than the saw....

This bar is called a sprocket tip. It has two little holes on the round end where a grease gun with a small tip can be inserted. Grease can then be inserted into the tip and lube this sprocket wheel. It will make the bar last a lot longer. Each time the tank is filled the sprocket tip should be regreased.

You know, I was randomly picking up sticks in this area, I like sticks. Who’s this guy with the camera? I honestly don’t know, he’s been following me around with that camera since I started doing random things for no apparent reason. I always find something to restore when I do that. I know right, why would all this stuff be in places it doesn’t make any logical sense lol. I don’t question it and just roll with it. Luckily with this guy (he has never told me his name... in fact I’ve never heard him utter a word before ... wtf) and his super convenient camera, i just upload the videos since we always catches these moments that are genuine... totally genuine, I promise. It’s a symbiotic relationship I suppose, Im a symbiont.

this is a very very extreme job

So I ran off the road with my jeep rolled down a cliff was thrown out .the jeeps demolished. So on my way back home hiking through the woods I find an old rotten rusty dirt bike that someone left there, and a rusty box of tools .all the tools and a can of spray paint just happened to be laying there.and 2 hours later I was on my way home on a totally restored dirtbike... AWESOME

So don’t lock the trigger on or choke it, just yank it over and “pretend” it won’t start? No grease on any bearings. No oil in the cylinder or on the rings when reassembling? Then lock the trigger and choke it after the “pretend” restoration and it amazingly starts. Who taught you how to put a chain on? You sir would embarrass a real restoration person.

At least toss off the old chain and bar and get a new one. Very easy for a sharper faster cut.

I love watching these videos and seeing these things fully restored very cool to watch I am a female mechanic and I can appreciate this but watching that saw when he first got it it was so saddening clearly somebody had neglected the saw for a long period of time

Chain needs tightening and there's no clutch cover to disengage the chain rotation. It works but scary as it is.

Maybe buy a side Cover with a chainbrake off the Internet because running a chanisaw with out a chainbrake is really dangerous

А также видно что в смазке цепи отработка учавствовала уж больно всё загажено .Лайк поставлю только за то, что показал как разобрать и собрать и как самому прокладки выбить . 干得好！请勿使用用过的油润滑链条。 链条和轮胎将持续更长的时间！

Cool

That chain is dull and it's going slack from overheating due to excess friction because the chain oiler is clogged and/or not working. A working oiler would have left a faint stripe of oil on the ground when you were revving it. The mud on the bar and chain when you found it was unnecessary and does not pass for corrosion at all. I did watch the entire video, so, mission accomplished, I guess.
