There is a difference between a restoration of status and an extension of status. A restoration of status essentially means that you are restoring your status that you had. For instance, if you had a work permit and it expired, you will apply to restore your status. On the other hand, an extension means you are applying to extend your authorized status in Canada. For instance, if your work permit will expire shortly, you can apply to extend your status. Dear Lady, I was given a visitor visa to transit through Vancouver and it expired almost three months ago, I am going back home through the same route, What should I do? Hi I am currently on a Working Holiday Visa which ends at the end of November. I want to apply for the express entry but I just need 1 more months worth of work experience from when my visa finishes to get the 1 year work experience. I was wondering if there is any extension visa I can apply for just to get the extra time to get the work experience.

Hi , My status is implied. And waiting approval my PR , and I sent application for open work permit same with my PR application date was already 1 years, so can I working with another employer because unfortunately I was discontinued work after 2 years contract with my former employer under caregiver program . I am international student leaving in canada, quebec Montreal, I applied for CAQ 2months before it expires, I received my CAQ after it got expired, After getting CAQ Can i go to canada border, to restore and apply my study permit status, because right now i dont have any status to stay in canada. My study permit expired and i am out of status, i am in middle of my studies, i dont want to wait for 90 processing time. What will you suggest for going to border? Thank you in addvance

Hello i need your advise on my PGWP refusal twice. My study permit expired on july 30th 2022 but i had applied for pgwp on may 13th 2022 but then I received refusal on sept 13th 2022 mentioning i wasnt a full time student then again on sept 28th 2022 i applied for pgwp and received refusal on 7th feb 2023 mentioning i wasnt a full time student and i was out of status which makes me ineligible for pgwp even though i had included my restoration fee in my second application. Urgent help and since i cant afford consultation i need advise that i can follow on my own.

Hi madam , if anybody applied restoration through paper mail to Alberta and decision comes after 90 days like your restoration application not accepted then what should that student do? because paper mail take too much time ..

@@Kechi.e thanks, how did you know when your status was restored and you were able to work? And did you have to show bank records/statements. Sorry for the questions ,I’m just trying to see what to expect.

@@ABotsLife88 you apply like you’re applying for a work permit. Same process but choose restoration of status. I attached a letter of explanation as to why I fell out of status, my proof of graduation etc. no bank statements it’s really the same as applying for a work permit if that’s what you’re applying for

If my study permit will expire on 31-4-2020 and my course also complete on 30-4-2020 after that i will get 90 days for restoration I hadn;t get 90 days on study permit
