Wow that looks well Nick, the dashboard looks fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to explain and demonstrate your technique for drilling out the rivet posts. Since you told me to slow down the drill speed and keep moving from one post to another then returning to the first one I've had much better results. Another great video Nick, thanks for sharing and see you in the next one. Cheers. Peter. 👍

I only just NEARLY finished one of these, Nick! All done except the decals (my fault for late ordering from BlackSquare) and a final varnish coat. I didn't remove the wheels for painting, and I think I have tyres that fill the arches a bit better, plus the wee man is a bit more detailed and I found a little 'instrument' decal for the the blacked dash, which looks quite nice. It isn't correct, but it looks fine. The grille on my donor car was a bit chewed so needed filing back, and it is a bugger to brush-paint properly, but it is a really nice, if slightly battered casting, so I have left a few of the dents in place. I'll send you a pic when it's done. Your motor fought you a bit, but the painted stripes look really nice and you are far more patient with the detailing than I am, for sure. I had the odd pairing of wheels exactly as yours, too. interesting parallels all the way! Really splendid result which does the Dinky justice!

Thank you Fraser, it was quite awkward to paint that grill, there were a few swear words lol, with my decals I thought I would have a job to get the one on the bonnet the right shape so when I saw the picture of the one on google with the number to one side I thought perfect, I can use transparent decal paper and it will look ok😉😁👍 Look forward to the picture of yours when it’s finished. All the best, Nick🐸🐸

Outstanding job on one of my favorite automobiles ! The Cunningham motor company has a fascinating history. Briggs Cunningham started as a "gentleman racer". Then went on to form a company and built sport cars.

Another great video Nick. Please could you tell me where you position your camera/phone. Is it on a tripod or on your head? Many thanks 👍

Thank you, I have an old video camera which I use on a stand which I have clamped to my work bench to the left of me when I am sitting, it is a long stand which swivels at the base and has like an elbow in the middle with two springs on either side, very much like those long reach desk lamps, I usually have the camera positioned infront of me just above eye level which is not ideal as it often blocks my view when I am filming what I am doing, I usually would want to have my head where the camera is, but that’s the only way I can get everything in shot and not too far away, but as you can see I quite often do go out of shot without realizing, it does make things a lot more difficult when you are trying to film what you are doing!
