I know that some restorers think that welding and lapping etc destroys the patina/character/history of the watch but I lean towards the full restoration. Love your work

Great video. It's possible to polishing the crystal I have the same watch and I don't have the crystal remplacement.

Thanks for your comment! It is possible to polish a mineral crystal, but it’s a lot of work and not worth a Seiko crystal, just buy a replacement.

Thank you, that is the movement ring, that holds the pushers. On top is a friction spring, when closing the caseback it keeps the movement ring with slight pressure on place.

The days when Seiko used to make a really, nice quality timepiece. I won't buy any more modern Seiko watches as they are now mostly very overpriced junk.
