Hi Everyone
Welcome back to MEC-TEC, project Plonker continues and we need to finish the rear inner side panel paintwork, unfortunately this is more challenging that I 1st thought !

Wow! I didn't think you were going this far on the resto. That paint job looks really good to say you did it with rattle cans. I know what it's like when you aim for perfection and something goes wrong. But I wouldn't be doing all that again for the sake of that little blip. Enjoy Crimbo and get back to it later, and you will feel much better about it. It's interior anyway, hardly anyone will notice.

Hi MEC - I would leave repainting it and if needed you can fall back on the armrest idea - the fleet update will be interesting - Happy Christmas D

Just found your channel & binge watched this resto. I know nothing about motors but love the Supervan 3. I get the perfectionist thing though, I would have done exactly the same thing trying to flatten out the paint. I'm thinking of getting one of these vans a nut & bolt resto, hopefully I'll find a restorer with your attention to detail. Keep up the good work.... Loving the channel!

Robin Estate actually have padded armrest's overthere. but to be honest cant see sh*t of that little burn trough. You might even wax it up somewhat. great job Mec-Tec👍

it might not be worth boughtering about considering the barely visable spot, (You could even have choosen to leave it out of the video but now we know. LOL) it's more do You like the idea to add some armrests to protect the surface for future use. which I am sure will happen, then go for it, @@mec-tec

Hi mate, ive not done anymore on the supervan since the last vid as ive been concerntrating on getting my puma back on the road ready for when we move house, this is now pretty much done so as soon as we have moved I will have some more supervan content coming ! Thanks for being patient 👍👍👍

Hi mate, the paint is POR-15 Detail paint, they do it in a few colours, the one i picked is called stainless steel, i used the same one on the dash 👍👍👍

@@mec-tec oh right, it looks like a nice paint to do some alloys in, Also if you look at the factory estate regals they had padded rests for the sides, saloons are all covered in vinyl
