Hi, I used halfords primer, i had the basecoat colour mixed at a local paintshop and the lacquer is the ProXL 2k laquer in a can (this is the one with the ringpull on the bottom that releases the hardner into it) hope this helps 👍👍

Hi, I have really been enjoying your videos for "Project Plonker", which I only recently found on YT, I used to own a Regal Supervan III back in to 70s, so bought back some memories. Will you be finishing of the PP series?, as you got to Pt27 and there were no more. I am subscribed so waiting for more.

Haha, I was emotional leaving that house, not sure if it showed on camera, we have alot more room in the house now and i still have a double garage but width ways this time... with room to extend😉 however theres no Shed !! excellent work😉 ive just bought a puma to restore and was feeling a bit disheartened with the level of rust ive found . im lucky enough to have most of the inner and outer sills in tact rear sills/boot floor and front pans need work so ive bought a mig and trying to get as much info as possible on welding and this is a great help!!!
Hi mate, thats awesome ur saving another puma, its hard some times but just converntrate at 1 area at a time, that way it doesnt become overwelming, i have a playlist on my puma with different repairs etc, glad they can be of help 👍👍👍
Great work! What should I do with mine, to not let it rot so hard? Its in realy good condition and I afraid it will start rotting. Rear arches started tho
Hi mate, thanks so much ! To prevent rust, i would go around the car with Dinitrol wax oil and spray it in all tye cavitys you can, maybe take off the 1/4 panel trims and spray the wax oil inside the 1/4s so ot runs all round the arches etc, hope this helps 👍👍
You can reach the oil filter from above, no problem and if you have long arms, remove the oil cap as well without lifting the car, but that's another story all together, the room for the key is very limited and you have to get lucky to do that. No need to change the plug every time either, just the rubber washers, check the files of the screw and you'll know, since it only takes finger tightening and a quarter turn with the crank, it should last for about 10 years as it is. The oils all look and cost roughly the same, I read Castrol was good but Total made the car run better in some cases, it couldn't be more random and negligible, price and performance wise. You sir got blue balls for making this video and I thank you for your service.

Why not save some scrap metal and junk the spare wheel altogether? Its hugely heavy and can be replaced with a mini tyre compressor and tyre sealant kit as modern cars have. 99% of the time, Puma jacking points won't support the stress from the crappy original scissor jack anyway. I did this a few yars back on my Puma Black and its served me well ever since.
Hi, i have to be honest, i hate inflation kits, id much rather have a proper spare that can get u out of trouble no matter whats happened to the tire on the car, ive never had a problem with the original jack, personal choice i guess 👍

But if you have a flat tyre and do manage to get the wheel changed, then discover your lovely aftermarket wide wheels won't fit in skinny spare tyre's under boot tray, you'll have a bit of a problem. Many Puma drivers also love the Puma's performance and use it as a fun driver's car. That can be radically improved by losing excess weight (removing spare and jack, back seats and rear trim, moving the battery behind the passenger seat, etc). But if you're using yours as a tow truck, I guess performance or how it drives isn't a priority! 😊

Yippee… capri content 👍🏻 Please change those rear tyres for safety’s sake! They are the original factory tyres & so are 40 odd years old 😮 … are the front ones the same? So sorry but I I can’t help myself but have to mention the side stripes & boot decal are wrong, should be red over silver sorry!😬😬 didn’t notice before! Keep the videos coming your great & an inspiration 👍🏻
Hi thanks so much for the message and info, yes i deffo need to change the tyres, the fronts are newer but still very old, the stripes are an interesting one, ive seen other with it round the other way and have no doubt owned a few (il have to check my pics) but i did find a pic of a Cardinal Red 2.8i that i restored and the stripes I put on that were silver over red, not sure if this is because it was a red car and it would blend in to much, the ones i put on were the same as the originals, this car has deffo been painted in the past before i got it so i guess they either chose the wrong stripes for the body colour or just prefered them, il never know i guess, good to know if i change them in the future, glad you like the vid !
