فہیم بھائی یہ ٹرین جب بند ہوئی تھی مجھے اچھی طرح یاد ہے کہ ہم لوگ اس وقت حاصل پور آ ے ہوے تھے تو تمام دوستوں نے مشورہ کیا کہ جب واپس گھر جائیں گے تو ٹرین 🚆 پر جائیں گے بھاولنگر تک توجب حاصل پور ریلوے اسٹیشن پر آ کر ٹرین کا پتہ کیا تو انہوں نے بتایا کہ ٹرین آ ج نہیں آ ے گی تو غالباً یہ ٹرین 25 جولائی 2011 کو بند ہوئ ہے جو کہ اب تک نہیں چل سکی ہماری اس ٹرین کے ساتھ بہت ساری یادیں وابستہ ہیں 😢😢😢

As a boy, myself and my mother used to take train from Renala Khurd near Okara ,towards Samma-Satha railway station/junction. From Samma-Satha junction, used to take train to Hasilpur. From Hasilpur, our uncle used to take us to Village # 75. Those were the days, -- gone, but not forgotten. Now a days, people are taking bus from Sahiwal to Vehari ----- and from Vehari another bus to Hasilpur,across the Sutlej river. So I thought that more and more bus services have something to do with stoppage of railway services from SAMMA-SATTHA to BAHAWALNAGAR?

The railway services stopped since 2011. People were no longer taking trains----- train travel was more expensive than travel by bus, by rickshaw, and by motor cycles etc

Bai ji sada Punjab cha sarkari buses hundea na for state and interstate travel...please Google.., Punjab Roadways, PRTC (eda cha Northern Railways da share ve hai, Punjab government naal) , Haryana Roadways etc but in Pakistan I have never seen government buses on state and intra state routes, only private buses I see..eda taah chanana paooo

This restoration work is part of ML-1 project under CPEC as this section's restoration is essential for denece requirements. Under ML-1 project restoration work is going on Like Nowshehra- Mardan Durgai & Quetta -Taftan section is underway currently for connecting it to Havelian for tenders have been floated

Probable reason for termination of railway services were----- travel train was getting so low---- that train services were no longer cost effective--------so trains stopped completely.

The problem with Railways is that passenger numbers are too low for branch line operations. For Branch line operations we need two bogie specialized small trains. Running 2000HP engines 10 carriage long trains is a burden on the tax payer. The British were compensating these railway companies with guaranteed 5% profit which they extracted from the population of India whether they traveled or not. As a free nation we cannot do what the British did to extort money from the poor for a company to work.

What's obvious is, its private investments and collaboration, which will help Pakistan come out of this crisis. We cannot reply on the Gov, as on one hand they want to save money, on the other, the privileges given to gov officials is of first world level. These issues should be highlighted by the Railway dept, yet Mr Faheem is doing their work for them.

Seems that in 2021 attempt was made to re-start rail services. But there was a problem with changing of prices of cement etc. So if trains are not to be used by public anyway, how the rail services will be restored ??
