I know it's necessary, but I always hate the idea of removing the printed graphics on cymbals, especially the higher quality lines like Zildjian and Paiste. Really nice work though!
I get it. I wrestled with that too and then I just thought, who cares. I’m not a pro, not sponsored, I don’t get paid. I just want my shit to look nice, so I did it. Keep jammin’ bro. Thanks for watching
I like to remove the logos simply because logos are free advertising. Now don't get me wrong, if I ever plan to sell things then I won't remove logos, but if I plan to keep then logos come off (even new things) If a company gives me a discount or credit for leaving the logos on then I'll leave them on, if not then I'm only advertising a product I paid full price for. More people need to do this with everything imo. Get brands out of your head, I understand you might think cymbals are different, but there not. If it sounds good and matches your kit then its good, brands or price makes no difference. Don't be loyal to any brand that's not loyal to you. Anyway enough of my rambling on. You get the point
The link below is the best i can do. It’s a nylon wheel and that’s where I bought it. I’m sure you can get it online and have it delivered. www.menards.com/main/tools/power-tool-accessories/abrasive-wheels/performax-reg-4-medium-fine-nylon-wheel-brush/03400/p-1444429235224-c-10154.htm
My cheap Zildjians got gross looking from being outside and oxidizing. I imagine this would get it off or is the oxidation deeper in the metal to skim off?
@@4AcresandaFarmhouse well no sometimes you don't just try with little knowledge just because. I can ask others who would know if the cymbal would be still dirty looking deeper inside or if it would be able to come off the surface. It is half knowing what happens with an oxidized cymbal and the method to get it off if possible. Sometimes the just trying part is needed and sometimes research before will give much better results.
I bought it at Menards. I think it’s made by Performax?? If you go to the section where they have the wire wheels you’ll find it. There’s a blue one (fine) and an orange one (course).
