Wow. This B sounds really crappy. Harsh, shrill, lacking any overtone spectrum that allows tuning it with character. No elasticity, flexibility, resilience in the hammers. Resulting in a bland piano without colors, dynamics and flexibility in creating sounds, especially with una corda as a completely sound changing element of character.

It is surprising to me that you can be so harsh and self assured in your judgement of tone and character based on a recording of a piano you've never really heard in a studio space you've never seen. The university piano professor who has played this instrument for years was quite pleased with the tone and dynamic range with the new hammers.

They sound like shit. Use Renner Blue Points with Weikert felt.
