I do not know what the difference was, but I could hear the narrative better in this (second) video than in part one. I am not an upholsterer, but I enjoy watching a skilled craftsman and always look forward to your videos.

I appreciate you explaining to us what & WHY certain materials are reused. If it were me, I’d take one look and think that everything needs to be thrown away. You explain why you do reuse certain things & why not. Even with cotton batting explaining that you can remove just the dirty top of it and reuse the rest is very helpful. This instruction showcases the subtleties of upholstery. Another great tutorial.

Hi. I have a set of eight heywood-Wakefield mid-century cloth theater seats. I think I will need to re-upholster them but I don't see how to diassemble them. There are no fasteners and the steel wraps around the upholstery on the backs. The whole seat cushion seems to set into the steel tray which also contains the spring-loaded pintle supports. Is there soe trick? I have eight and I need eight so I am hesitant on forcing anything risking damaging one of them.

Hey, I was wondering where would be a good place to buy some leather for rewrapping vintage theater seats.

I’m surprised at what made up the springs/spring units in this chair and how you are able to keep components re a restoration and not compromise the end product. Initially I was thinking it would all have to be replaced; so than you for the ongoing learning experience that we get with both your unique projects and your ethics of upholstery.
