Agreed, but as you will see in future videos, ‘buying’ one is the thin edge of the wedge. The cost and effort to return them to livable condition under the approval of the Cultural Institute of PR is prohibitive in most cases which is why many remain as ruins for decades. Short Term Rentals offer investors and dreamers a way to renovate and preserve them for generations while still being able to recover their outlay. Sadly, many locals don’t see us as saving a part of the city, removing an eyesore and generally have a problem with this practice, while being unwilling to take them on themselves….
