Ok so It took a while for the parts that I needed to arrive but They did and now its time to finish restoring and improving this bandsaw.
There are some great improvements including a new table that extends out towards the rear it also has new and improved guides and also a working Light.
Let me know what you think and if you would have done anything differently.
Thanks for watching

Thank you for a great video. One question if I may. I have the 1994 model BS12R ser no 062 314, which look very much the same. I need a variable speed controll switch, can you perhaps guide me to where to buy. Thanks again for all the info.

Hi, I have my father's bandsaw which looks just like the one you have repaired. I don't have the equipment to fix it. Any chance you could help?

How can this only have 2 likes?! Absolutely fecking brilliant what you’ve done with this machine. Did you add some levelling compound under the new table top to stop it bending when screwing it down? Great job. Your videos are brilliant fella.

You could use a rubber strip glued with contact glue on the wheels, And have the centre of the wheels board out bigger to except slightly bigger bearing OD` but same size inner Diameter bearing to still fit the shafts, To stop blade coming off that should not keep happening, forget what the books tell you, you need to make sure the teeth are in the centre of the wheel not the blade cantered, so the blade is more to the one side. If you put the centre of the blade in the centre of the wheel it pivots left and right a wobble action ,not good, The person placed the washer behind the wheel thinking both wheels have to be level vertical with each other, that will usually cause the blade to run off. Usually on bandsaws the wheels are slightly off set or they will camper the flat of the wheel that the blade runs on.so the blade fights one way then the other this keeps it on. I don`t know these little models if they have a tracking wheel that's domed on top to keep blade on try my suggestion to where the teeth should be on the wheels

I have this model bought in 1997 that has been a good work horse until the drive band tension roller jammed. A good clean and a small amount of WD40 sorted the problem. There is an interesting video here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hodaJewalpA.html which shows on another larger Rexon machine how to set the blade guides and adjust the tracking. The top wheel has an adjustment accessed with an Allen key from the rear and allows the blade position to be adjusted front to back on the wheel, be warned it is very sensitive and easy to make the blade fly off the front. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have the Clark version of this bandsaw which looks identical, mine has a micro switch so if the front cover is off it does not run ( easily worked around ) I purchase a set on silicone tyres for mine and you get three but only use two as the drive belt is a substitute for a tyre. May I suggest that you use a short piece of mitre slot and an adjustable insert as you can lock those in the rail, thus solving the problem of securing the top guide assembly. Good work and well thought out.

I suppose it was based on the old 3 wheel Burgess saw but looks a little better made, except for the upper blade guides. Not sure what they were thinking. The Burgess just had round brass rods for the side of the blade guides. We used to replace them with hardwood dowels that had been soaked in oil, works really well and such a simple but effective idea. Must say that is one seriously good restoration of that bandsaw!

You were a good inspiration for giving my bandsaw a new shine. One thing about your solution with the light. It looks like you used a Jansjö light (at least that is the name for it in Germany) from that big, "blue and yellow swedish manufacturer", how did you get rid of the voltage converter to integrate it into the bandsaw housing?
