I did some brush hog work for my neighbor and uncovered these two old cultivators. I asked him If I could restore one for a video. He said restore them both and keep one. Heck yea I will do that. So here they are.

Awesome.. I've got one I'm about to restore.. only it has a furrowing plow instead of the cultivator tines.. Thanks for the ideas.. Yours looks awesome..

Wow! Those are great. Maybe draw a template from the better tines for making new ones for the blue one.

As it turned out he had a 3ed one. After seeing the first 2 done he wanted it redone also. But the wheel on it is shot. So I am cannibalizing the blue one to make it work. It has a full set of tines and is a better design than the blue anyway.

I'm starting work on a tiller that is very close to what you just did only mine have metal handles. Needs a good bit of straightening out, and new hardware. I did one over the winter and used the same green paint that you did. Good job sir, subscribed.

Called a 5 tooth.

My dad said they are called push cultivators. He used one for years before my granddad bought a tiller.

Yup. Those things were pretty useless on un-tilled ground. Too difficult with poor results. Used regularly from the beginning, they were pretty good but NOT for "No-Till" fanatics (humorists) ? My grandmother used one religiously - DAILY. She always resorted to hoes if it got away from her.
