Congrats on the cricket Scott. I've just poured a glass of white and I'm remembering Christmas dinner in Cora Lynn. My brother in law lives there. It would be hilarious to get a call from him about seeing a Camel and me saying 'Oh aye - that'll be Scott.' Can't wait for that one. Here's to the future. 🥂

Cricket was great, but of a late night. I had to google map that, near pakenham and o had never heard of Cora Lynn

A lot of work before then but the covering process will be enjoyable.

There was a bit where you have the cockpit and firewall in the same frame it reminded me just how tiny the aircraft is. The men who flew them into combat were a helluva lot braver than most give them credit for.

?>';;p #; 'So we've got one out of four - that's pretty good for this kit.' 🤣🤣 I'm sure you'll find a way. Per ardua ad astra. Always looking forward to the next one. Cheers! Dave

Looking great mate. Could you slip the P clamps on after covering for the side bits? Also, my mate Paddy made the ply behind the cockpit strong enough for him to be able to sit on. It makes sliding in to the cockpit much easier. And out as well. Pretty sure he epoxied 2 layers of ply there. I could get more info on that if you like

Thanks Don, yes it needs to be sat on the rear turtle deck, first layer will be covered over then a cosmetic layer. Not sure yet on the p clamps as the covering needs to wrap around the same vertical.

What do you think: why does the Sopwith Camel 1916 have a welded steel fuselage, while the later Soviet U-2 (Po-2) has a wooden one?
@scottmatthews5280
@scottmatthews5280 10 месяцев назад
The camel was all wood in 1916 thanks

To hold the clips in place, mate it makes a great glue, but you can't pain over it @@scottmatthews5280
