Absolute Legends! I've just arrived back in the UK two weeks ago from my two-year trip on a Moody376. This brings back fond memories of the start of our adventure and the months of winter renovations in Ipswich getting the boat ready! We took the boat far and wide and eventually sold her in the US after two years non stop travelling and 15,000+ miles. You guys are in for an absolute amazing time, enjoy!

Brilliant! 6 months condensed to an hour and it worked perfectly as a view into the work you have done and the upgrades carried out. I managed to catch a couple of the livestreams as the blue paint went on, but missed the work prior and I must say you did well to do a proper job rather than the simple cosmetic touch up that some think is sufficient. A few hiccups along the way is natural and a good learning curve that will benefit you in the future. Love the little touches too like the personised wheel centre and chopping board. Blue Spurr looks beautiful in full sail. Looking forward to the next episode and following the journey in the months ahead. *Cair Vie*

Refit and sail should give you come ideas about how to do the work., the work he done kn lotty the contessa 32 is very good guidance. For instance you needed to use a peeler to get back to the fiberglass., it beats the soul killing work of scraping the hull. I am a bit worried about the rudder tube , make sure you give it special attention.

Wow... This is so cool... I nearly bought that boat, but opted for a Moody 42 instead. I often thought I should have bought this CN38 instead. I'll follow yor guys' journey. 🙂

Well done on prepping the boat. Good choice of boat for your adventures. I lived aboard my own sailboat on anchor in the med for 5 years both summer and winter. I think when you get here then the extremes in temperature will shock you. You will cook in that boat, could I suggest a couple of hatch wind scoops, they work amazing when on anchor they pick up the slightest breeze. Also a tarp for a boomtent brings the temp right down in the salon. Also for the winter it gets freezing (sub zero at night) I would get a Chinese diesel heater for about 100 euros and run it to each cabin. It will warm the boat everywhere and stop you getting sick from the mold. Much cheaper than buying wood. Also you don't have enough solar. You want a solar gantry with at least 400 watts to run a fridge and lights ect and I think starlink takes a lot, I just used a sim with 5g then hotspotted my WiFi but not offshore obviously. The med is only small hops from place to place. Best of luck

Inspiring work & great friendships. With the experience you have I did expect you would have surveyed the hull for moisture. Those Nics are strong boats but osmosis is a real deal. Taught me about the Marine Magic. Will be using some on my spray hood!

Guys if you can come to nelson nz or havelock south island in the marlborough sounds I'll take you crayfishng set the long line because there is so much to do in the sounds.

I just did this with my 50 year old sailboat/home. New thru hulls and bottom work. $5000 CAD but I know shes sound and ready to go.

Yep, an angle grinder is a dangerous weapon in inexperienced hands, but you won’t be doing that again. Definitely not designed for flat surfaces. A random orbital sander would be a good investment.
