Join us as Henry demonstrates how to remove scratches, swirls and oxidation while reviving a deep flawless gloss and what you should do next. Not sure which polishing compound you need to get the job done? With the V-Line Sampler, professional and enthusiast detailers have access to heavy compounds for removing deep defects like scratches and swirl marks, and lighter polishes to restore pure reflection and glossy depth for unbelievably-shiny paint. TORQ Dual Action Polisher features a four digit digital display that accurately and precisely displays your OPM speed for best results. From a low 1800 RPM for spreading to a fast 5500 RPM to quick cutting, the 15DA will display your speed instantly and accurately. With the 15DA, TORQ engineers have eliminated the trigger, saving users from the fatigue and stress of constantly squeezing a switch. The digital power management system controls the power of the machine for a smooth feel and perfect control. The 15DA features digital controls and display within thumb’s reach of the ergonomic handle for unmatched usability and effortless adjustments on the fly. HydroSlick is unlike any product you’ve ever used before - it’s a new product that truly deserves its own category! A HyperWax combines the ease of use of a wax with the longevity, beading, slickness, and insane shine of a ceramic. HydroSlick uses the latest in SiO2 gel suspension technology to totally re-engineer the makeup of a ceramic coating and reinvent it as an extremely user-friendly and durable coating that anyone can apply.

Lol I remember seeing a review on the clay bar and someone was so mad they destroyed the paint bc they left the plastic on it 😂 how is that anyone's fault but the person using it. Common sense is so rare. I love the og clay bar. It's worked great for me. Maybe they should try it without the plastic on it 😂

Hey Joey! We recommend allow 3 hours to pass, this going to allow the ceramic coating to properly cure. Thanks for watching and happy detailing!

Hey! Should I clay before applying wax? I have no intention of polishing. Just a car wash.
@easy_fix_auto3305
@easy_fix_auto3305 4 года назад
Clay bar is great in that situation to smooth out the paint by removing surface contaminants. It won’t fix the cosmetic appearance of swirls or other scratches but it will give you a far more significant smooth texture if you clay and throw a sealant final coat on it. Good temporary solution but could be considered 1/4 of the job.
@ChemicalGuys

Hey! Yes, we recommend claying before applying a wax to ensure you do not coat contaminates on the paint. Thanks for your question and happy detailing!

You can use a product like V32 which is an extreme grade compound designed to break down heavy layers of oxidation, scratches, swirls, and much more.

There is over spray on the hood as he stated in the video but it hasn't been repainted? Based on the over spray the heavy amount of orange peel and the quality of the paint before and after he buffed it i would have bet it was repainted as well.

You can for light scuffs and single scratches, however if you plan to polish an entire vehicle then we highly recommend doing it via machine polisher.

During the 6 step detail process where would HydroSlick fit in? Would glaze, sealant, and wax still be beneficial to use?
@Drake_Dawley
@Drake_Dawley 4 года назад
Hydroslick is the very last step, on top of your wax after you polish and seal your paint
@camcaton5374
@camcaton5374 4 года назад
Hydroslick should always go on BEFORE your glaze, wax, or sealant. Hydro slick needs to bond directly to your paint for the best results. I suggest you go watch their video from a couple days ago that goes over the detail process.

Drake Dawley The reason you want to apply it before is because ceramic coatings actually add a measurable layer to your clear coat. So because it’s similar to a layer of paint you should put your waxes and etc over it. Hopefully that makes sense. Again that video explains everything.

Great informative video! I own a TorqX polisher and wanted to pair it with a 5” yellow Rupes pad. I noticed the pad is just slightly bigger than 5” and discovered the machine’s backing plate measures 4 3/4”. Is there any issue with this sizing difference? Will it affect performance? Thanks CG!
