Restoring trust in the IDF with sixty-year-old old-timers 

These reservists did not receive a mobilization order, at least not in the current war • From the seventh of October they tried to contribute and volunteer wherever they could, but were rejected due to their advanced age •
In the end, an initiative was created with the aim of strengthening the standby units in the southern communities bordering the Gaza Strip.
The unit has been named after Avshalom Haviv, who was a member of the Etzel underground and died on the British gallows.
But the more ambitious goal of the "Avshalom Force" is to restore the people's trust in the IDF, trust which was eroded with the October 7 mass-slaughter.
