This felt like a walk and aisle, go to church on Sunday, live any way you want and you are good! I believe that is a dangerous doctrine. If he didn’t mean that I hope he will explain it here
This message left me confused. I’ve listened to Robbie since Covid. Did he just preach a walk an aisle, go to church on Sunday, live anyway you want and you are going to heaven? If so that is a dangerous doctrine. If that is not what he meant more explanation is needed. My husband and I both felt like that was the message. There are too many numerous verses to quote here that makes that completely false.
I also don't agree with his notion "once saved always saved". Although I didn't sense what you were suggesting. His message was to align ourselves with the Spirit of God, confess our sin and repent 30:30 around there....
@hoperose4995 You are correct in that there are many verses in the Bible that show once saved, always saved is false. To be frank, it is a doctrine of demons. One can certainly lose their salvation. When it comes to salvation, God's promises are conditional that we abide in Him as John 15 states. Verse 6 is clear of what happens to one who does not remain in Jesus, (the vine ). Even in the letter to the church in Sardis, there's a warning for those who don't repent and overcome. Matthew 7:22-23 is another clear verse. You can't cast out demons unless you're filled with the Holy Spirit. Judas who betrayed Jesus, cast out demons and healed the sick. The Bible also speaks of not quenching the Holy Spirit. We need to pray for pastors who are preaching once saved always saved because it is not scriptural. I used to listen to Jack Hibbs once in a while and he said backsliders will make it in the rapture! A backslider who has repented will make it but that's not what he said. Read 2 Peter 3:17, Hebrews 6:4-8 and Hebrews 10:39. Some of the 7 letters to the churches in Revelation warn them to repent and then there's a promise to those who overcome as well as what will happen to those who do not repent. Keep the faith and I'm glad that you are one to search and know the scriptures so as not to be deceived.
@@SheepDog197425:15-25:50....not sure when he said, " you were always a child of God" if he was referring to before or after we gave our lives to Jesus. If he is speaking of before, that is incorrect. He is the creator of all that are born but it doesn't make us His children. We become a child of God when we are saved. He also clearly says, "you cannot lose your salvation". There are many scriptures showing that we can lose our salvation. I listed some scriptures in a comment in this thread. That comment is very, very dangerous. Even Paul said to the Galatians, " who has bewitched you?" He spoke of them starting in the Spirit and drawing back to trusting in the law. Galatians 3
MMM.... Revelation 13:8, are you reading the ESV? Because the point you are making infers that God hand picked you before time... That is false. Other Bible versions place Jesus the lamb as the one that was slain before the foundation of the world, not the names written in the book of life. Why then would Jesus need to affirm in 3:5 "those who are victorious" suggesting that those who do not repent will not have their names written in the book of life. Careful, because calvinism will spin the truth. Repent and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.👍
It doesn’t infer God hand picked you… it actually infers God is outside of the time and space constraint of understanding that we, as humans are bound to. Knowing who will be saved before the foundation of the earth, therefore is not countered by the statement “those who will be victorious” but it is strengthened by it. It demonstrates the foreknowledge of His omnipotence. Your view of 3:5 insinuates that He who created all, King of Kings, has a gap in His knowledge.
@@SeventhSeal1 I don't disagree with your point of view. In fact, God's Omnipotence does make Him all knowing and therefore has foreknowledge of who "will conquer" and be strengthened and saved. The distinction is that God does not decree who will and who will not be saved. He knows whose name will be written in the book of life, but he did not arbitrarily unconditionally pick whom He will save.
