For anyone wondering, Leo said on Tweek talks that he’s wants to use Corrin rather than Aegis to cover MU he doesn’t like with Byleth (Gluto beat Leo’s Byleth at summit)
While Leo's Corrin played very well, I felt that Glutonny flubbed a lot during this game. From playing very risky for a kill at the end of the first game, to stuff like the SD on game 2, throwing off the Waft raw on the platform, and to misinputting the direction of Chomp a lot. I felt that this set knocked the wind off of his sails greatly enough into Sparg0 dominating victory at loser's finals.
@@b4styy in fact he was suffering from his hands during the tournament (according to LRB, Solary’s CEO) so yeah, he was playing safe and he will take care of his hands until Genesis
I'm half convinced Corrin has the best upair in the game lol. The move has everything you want in an up-air: good range, good for juggling, kills off the top, combos off a fastfall, good frame data
I’ve been using Corrin since Leo used her on stream. Great aerials and frame traps. Her recovery has mixups with bair and holding down on ledge. And she has great kill power with tippers, up air, nair, and side b.
I've always thought her and Cloud were high tiers, despite what people said. Cloud I believe is top 25 and Corrin top 30. I think Corrin would be top 20 if she wasn't on the slower side in ground speed.
MKLeo doesnt play a lot of ’technical’ characters so we dont know how he fares with characters like that. He purely relies on extremely good fundies and plays characters that lets him do that
Joker is very technical. So im sure leo wouldnt have much problems with shulk. Add to the fact that leo is the best player at spacing, which along with shulks range, leo would be fearsome
Great game but some of the worst commentary in awhile. Not even focusing on the present game but instead talking about game theory and mindset which is nice and all, but I want to hear reactions to what’s happening right in front of me.
I high key always thought Corrin had the best aerials in the game, I'd been using her before I switched to byleth (due to leo, had success online with byleth, thank you Leo). Watching pro players like Leo and Abadango, Glutonny. Its like watching a chess engine but for smash. Its honestly fucking beautiful. Does the twirl Corrin do when jumping reduce her hitbox size?
Lol why do they even have that Gucci girl on commentary 😂 she literally sounds lost and has nothing to offer when commentating. She says the same crap all the time too “risky” “we’ll see how this ends” “two pros going at it” thanks captain obvious lol
Listen y'all. Don't drop your main because y'all found out Corrin is a problem. Some of y'all still ain't finished mastering Byleth yet 🤣🤣🤣 give the real mains their time to shine.
@@pikachuisbusted5268 I know 😅 I love Link too much or it might be the other way around but I also have others. Let's just say I like playing Pika almost as much and the playstyle change feeds my intuitive side and gives me freedom I miss out on maining Link. Don't even ask who my other back ups are lolbs
I feel like the feminine commentator really didn't understand the assignment. Like the shield break was going on and she was like ummm ummm very very interesting. Lmao
Mythra just has unique traits and an interesting worthwhile transforming gimmick that sets her apart from other top tiers. Pikachu, Joker, and her all share the tippy top spot but for various reasons.
Spoilers And Leo was worried bout losing his first big Mexican event lmao he’s looking damn good so far, literally hasn’t dropped one game yet . I was not expecting a 3-0. Not a diss to Gluto obviously he’s amazing and beat Spargo to get here. Gl to Gluto in losers, prob gonna have to fight Spargo again, that’s gonna be fun to spectate. (If this ages poorly that’d be kind of funny)
Been playing Corrin since 2020 I believe. No matter who I use, Corrin turned out to be my best character. Stuck with him all the way (yes, I play the male variation). Leo is still my favorite player!
Oof. That shield break was 100% matchup inexperience and maybe some nerves muddling decision making. That's just a situation that staying in shield is definitely the worst option.
Been playing Corrin since 2020 I believe. No matter who I use, Corrin turned out to be my best character so I stuck with him ever since (yes, I play the male variation). I find it amusing how people are just now realizing how good Corrin is, despite so many other pros saying he/she is underrated as heck. Amazing aerials and a great neutral game. Dang so underrated.
I think people sometimes really forget how balanced this game is when they’re shock at a low tier winning against a high or even top tier in this game also, come on, this is the “best player in the world” for a reason
Mexicans have a long line of professional boxers. Julio Cesar Chavez, Canelo. Y ahora, Leo, Abadango para smash. I know there's even more mexican players than that. Orgullo.
Not a bad match but I want to sound offensive the announcers you gotta work on your skills you got to be able to call what’s going on play-by-play right now that’s not what I’m seeing here I’ve heard other right now it’s just called out what’s exactly happening on the screen Word for Word play-by-play that’s not what we get here on a continual basis. Just a critique not trying to put anybody in the dumps or anything.
I don’t want to be mean at all, however, the female commentator on this just repeatedly says nothing valuable. She has a good voice and seems to know the game, she just doesn’t ever say anything about the gameplay just “let’s see what happens” over and over, again, please take constructively!!
I wouldnt call it spam per se, but I suppose thats accurate. Theres a line between spam and knowing what moves and when to use them will wall someone out safely. Spamming is much more... mindless.
That chick commentator is terrible. I hope its just because shes limited in english perhaps ? Hopefully not the same case if shes commentating in her own native language. Great set regardless
@@victorded4275 That sucks. Especially after hearing other good female conmentators that genuinely care and have deep knowledge of the game. Why have her there at all
Not exactly. Most of the online meta now is just kids being self aware of who is really good, benefits from wifi, and is easy to play, all in one. And the characters I said above are basically it. There are a few others like chrom, but the point is still there
Lmao right, after collision it was full of Diddy Kong that tried to be Tweek and i even suspect the effect of the last tweek talks video with Leo when he said he like to pressure the shield and shieldbreaks because since this video i think i fight at least 4 Byleth in arena that spams dair into my shield 🤣 Peoples need some personality
Just so everybody knows, I was a corrin main before Leo ever picked Joker lol, and everybody was like why you play such a lame character? Well, who's lame now?
@@Tee_Wilson nah, corrin isn't fun to fight, it's like fighting a min min with much shorter range but way more speed and more bs. Every corrin match I've ever had was just spamming nair, nb and then spamming smash attacks and side specials at the end. It's such a boring match up.
Far from true. Leo has a more rush down approach, which I concede is due to a higher skillset with the wider variety of characters he plays, but he still needs some practice. I don't mean to get better at the game, but more so with Corrin as a character. If you watch this set carefully, or any other set he plays with Corrin, you'll notice a few things: 1.) He fast fall cancels b-air and u-air accidentally somewhat often 2.) He can't chain f-air strings anywhere near as good as Shadic 3.) Overutilization of n-air (it is used correctly a lot, but thrown out randomly just as much) 4.) Not comfortable using special moves (endlag?) like Shadic to mix up/punish 5.) Cancels pin way too often, which he got away with a lot in this set! (IMO its better to commit and then just jump out of disadvantage. Corrin thrives in the air.) If Leo got a better feel for the character I'd be interested to see them play a match and also play the same players in their own sets (Leo vs Peanut -- Shadic vs Peanut -- etc.) to compare playstyles and decide who has the better Corrin. As of now though, Shadic is the best Corrin player I have seen.
