The Retekess TR110 FM MW AIR CB VHF UHF Shortwave SSB Portable Radio tries its Best at being able to Receive all Those Bands, and still fit in your Shirt Pocket. In this video I take the TR110 through an Evening Scan of the Medium Wave Band. A little help from the Terk Advantage Passive Loop for those Faint Stations. The radio has a slow acting AGC(Automatic Gain Control) which requires a bit of Patience as the Stations are Tuned In.

I bought something like 👍 this from Walgreens, back in 2004, but the name on it was Lifelong. It had an orange 🍊 backlight, like 👍 your Retekess. I don’t remember if it had a DX switch on it or not. I can’t even recall what happened with the radio 📻 in the years. Your friend, Jeff.

AM ANTENNA is at bottom of radio, like DT-400W. Good AM reception for a DSP.

I have the Raddy incarnation of this radio. At least Retekess spelled ‘frequency’ correctly on the faceplate. It’s not a bad radio, overall. With some effort it will decode SSB ok. I can tune local police/fire on VHF. The squelch function is too aggressive and mutes almost everything. I decided to keep it because it is fun to play with and that’s the point after all.

I like the bandwidth control on SSB with the Raddy, the Retekess doesn't have it for some reason.

I've always thought that this Retekess TR-110, the Raddy and the HangRonDa 747 share the same features and functions, just like the XHDATA and Sihuadon D-808 and R-108. This Retekess is priced rather steep on the Lazada platform for Southeast Asia, for the asking price I'd rather buy something like the ATS-120, ATS-125X2 or the Tecsun PL-330. Hej Todderbert thanks for the the bandscan the Retekess TR-110 is a very interesting radio so maybe i pick it up take care Todderbert and burr the autumn is here cold outside 7 degrees Celsius or 44 °Fahrenheit.

You seem to have a large assortment of radios. Have you done a comparison/review/rating/comparison between all of the pocket sw radios you have. I would like to see all sw pocket radios compared, side-by-side. The band I most listen to is Medium Wave, however, when camping I often scan and listen to shortwave. Anyway, if you have already done this, can you give reply given me necessary info where I can view it? Always watch you radio reviews before going to others.

Is their a difference between the raddy 760, HonRanDa737, and retekess 110? They all seem the same just different names on the front. I have the raddy 320 and was looking to upgrade as a novice

The Raddy handles SSB better if I remember, I think it had more BW options. Though they could all be on the same version firmware now. HanRongDa is the Father of these radios, and the others are rebrands with slight tweaks if any. China allows intellectual property to be used by other companies.

That radio is now marked up to almost 100 dollars. A pricy little sucker...It does have lots of features though...The C.Crane pocket is the better deal at less than $70.00... .02
