i agree50gm sunscreen i use only on my face and neck and it get finish in one week though i am max at home still as i apply every 2,3 hours in a day and mineral sunscreen i apply so my every week new sunscreen gets too expensive still that’s necessary like water to me

Foxtale brand in India has come up with Encapsulated Retinol, 0.15%. And they claim zero purging. If that is true, i would love to purchase it, as a beginner. Because their packaging is nice. It's an airless pump. And it looks cute. Can you review the brand and especially this product??

I've been using Balance Active's retinol serum, in Sweden, it's sold in the pharmacies (where there's a fairly harsh standard) for a really cheap price. The product already has hyaluronic acid in it, but I still follow it up with Elementre's Recovery Mask Cream, it's the only product from that brand that I use, but it has panthenol, shea butter, and squalane, with no perfume or alcohol. For really dry, sensitive skin, they seem to work really great. 👍

Dr V, I am not sure if anyone has told u before, but u apply ur eyeliner incorrectly, the wing shld be made outside ur eye and not on ur eyelid. Look at Dr Mehta eyeliner and look at urs

Dr V… I love to watch your videos because your smile spreads so much happiness. My question is: Skin of colour suffers from a vitamin D deficiency and we are told to spend at least 20 minutes basking in the sun to correct this. If we put sunscreen on, will we get the Vitamin D we so desperately need as we only really have proper sun exposure during the summer months? Does this mean that we should rely on Vitamin D supplements and never sit in the sun?
Very good question. I hope it is answered. Incidentally, I believe the "at least 20 mins exposure" refers to Caucasian skin. Black and brown people should have at least 40 minutes.
It’s best to not wear sunscreen early in the morning and get at least 20-40 minutes of sun exposure without sunscreen or it can be late afternoon/evening where uv is low to get sun exposure without sunscreen too. Only wear sunscreen when uv index is 5 or above but for uv 4 and below, u can get vitamin d from sun exposure without sunscreen. During this time, it’s ideal to have more skin surface exposed to the sun to gain more vitamin d.

Hi Dr V. Please make a video on body sunscreens, in terms of formulations, products, etc. Face sunscreens are often small and finish quickly, so it’s not economically practical (for me anyway) 😅 tia

Hi doctor V, I really enjoy watching your content as a 26 years old brown skin girl. I am facing a lot of problems understanding my skin and what all I should do for it. For example, I have a combination skin, but it is not acne prone. I face pigmentation around my mouth area and a little forehead, making it look very uneven skin tone, but not hyperpigmentation. I have extremely small bumps on my forehead that is not acne. I have some sort of a strawberry nose, which are not blackheads. I have open on the areas near my nose and under the under eyes area where cheeks are starting. I don't understand what should I put on my face. Now I am developing some sort of uneven texture. I have not suffered with skin issues till 24 years of my life and now I feel I'm suffering with a little of everything and not all of something. It's extremely extremely confusing to understand what should I start with.

However, what if there is a product that already contains both retinol and actives? There is a product I've found and prior to making the purchase, I wanted an expert opinion. The product is called Derca Triple Active Retinol Complex The ingredient list is as follows: 0.5% Retinol, 2% Caffeine, 2% Hyaluronic Acid, 2% Glycolic Acid, 2% Lactic Acid, 1% Salicylic Acid, Vitamin E, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Chamomile, Liquorice, Squalene, Ubiquinone. Given that actives and retinol have been combined into one product as opposed to layering on actives and retinol. Do you think this is a safe purchase?

Hi Dr V, I was using 5% tranexamic acid serum daily AM&PM until someone told me my face looks red. I didn’t even notice until I was told and have now stopped using it completely as I now realised I was using products incorrectly.
