This video shows animated sequences on how to perform retinoscopy. Specifically, you'll see what the retina reflex looks like and the theory behind "with" and "against" movement. This is a usefull skill for checking glasses prescription in pre-verbal children and elderly. Thanks, great video. I've been discussing red eye reflex this morning with a client (I work in a health centre for babies in Australia) and it's great to have a quick refresher and explain these things to mums. Simple and succint and easy to understand. Very much appreciated.

Thanks John, appreciate your response. I've removed the post in question as it didn't really add much to the process of understanding retinoscopy. The "optics" explanation of this lecture may not be entirely 100% correct, but this is still the best way I know of explaining this topic.
