@optometryreels

You don’t have to know. Just neutralize a meridian with sphere first and remaining with cylinder

For net cylindrical value we don't need to subtract cylindrical value from sphere value? Like second-first reading rule?
@optometryreels
@optometryreels Год назад
Correct. Working distance is compensated with sphere only. Suppose if we get -1.00 DC only then after working distance compensation it will be -1.50 DS/-1.00 DC
@puipuii8293
@puipuii8293 Год назад
@@optometryreels then should -1.50 DS/ -1.00 DC be the final prescription?

Sir, when you neutralize one meridian, do you leave that lens in when you're about to do the other meridian or do you take it out?
@optometryreels
@optometryreels Год назад
Usually during spherocyl method we leave sphere in trial frame and use cylinder to neutralize the other meridian.

How will i know which one is sph which one is cyl bcos both have axis eg . 135* and 45*
@optometryreels
@optometryreels Год назад
First step is to find the type of movement then meridian of movement. Mostly we use sphere lens first to neutralize any one meridian. If it’s sphere all meridian will get neutralized with single sphere lens but if it’s astigmatism one meridian will get neutralized but other median will still show movement. At that meridian we have to use cylinder lenses to neutralize.
@blooms2396
@blooms2396 Год назад
@@optometryreels then does it mean. Eg In your vid. 135 and 45 axis. So you put sph in 135 * and it neutralised in every axis. So does it mean pt in having sph only and no cyl?
@optometryreels
@optometryreels Год назад
@@blooms2396 I used sphere at 45 and cylinder at 135
@blooms2396
@blooms2396 Год назад
@@optometryreels okay sir. So then does it mean if it neutralises in 45 in every meridian. Then the pt is having only a sph power ?
