Retire Poor with your 401k and Roth IRA or Try Something Different 

Tax advantaged investment accounts are propped up as the gold standard method to save for retirement. The problem is that your 401k, Roth IRA, or traditional IRA is set up for you to retire poorer than when you were working and to keep you from your money until you are nearly 60 years old!
I explain what I do instead to grow my nest egg with taxable brokerage accounts and real estate without the government telling me when and how I can use my money. It's probably going to ruffle some feathers but it's worth discussion.
