The fishes in the fish tank represent the boys in this world. They desperately want to leave the fish tank and explore the outside world. It also symbolises the envy yeonjun feels as he sees the fish with other fishes together. While he is all alone and the other boys are just his hallucinations. He is shown as a depressed lonely teen on anti depressants medicine . Yeonjun is fed up with his parents fighting and he steals the car keys, and runs away from his house all alone. But he thinks he is with his 4 friends. In reality, he is all alone.
This makes a lot of sense. There is another theory for "0X1=LOVESONG and LOSER=LOVER songs. A theory togeather for them. In the MV LOSER=LOVER they show us that the five boys are having a hard time living in the word, being treated differently. they are angry and tired of the world. Then the four of them decided to end their lives by drving off a cliff togeather. But yeonjun survived alone. And then in the MV 0X1=LOVESONG they show what yeonjun goes through after the accident. He starts seeinh hallucinations of his 4 friends and them having fun togeather. And the fish is supposed to represent his friends. The video also shows yeonjun acting crazy, thats because he actually went crazy when he knew that he was the only survivour. Again guys this just a theory.
There’s a theory that the boys other then yj are his hallucinations. The theory states that yj is on antidepressants and the boys and fish are appearing as a side affect. We see him wearing wrist bands which resemble hospital bands and green bands are used to show mental health awareness. That’s why the line “please use me like a drug” is very literal. Yj seem to snap when taehyun pulls off his cast which may be a reference for the drugs wearing off. That’s also why after his little dance we can hear only yj(and seoris) voice and yjs footsteps. The hallucinations are his coping mechanisms and why he’s all alone ,completely dry and the cars okay at the end.That’s also why we keep cutting back to Yeonjun all alone in his room huddled in a “comfort position” staring confused all around him and to him jamming out to cutting in between him and the boys . That may also be the reason only is spelled as on1y as there is only 1 in this scenario only yeonjun. The boys may have been real once but he might have lost them The I know it's real I can feel it may refer to him not wanting to let go because his hallucination have become his drug.
Or it could be the opposite. That Yeonjun was in the hospital for his depression and mental illness but he left and now that he's no longer on his medication, it's causing him to have hallucinations. It could be a reference to the movie Joker because in the movie, whenever he's dancing, it's showing how whatever we're seeing is not reality and this happens after he's no longer able to get his medications. Plus Yeonjun was wearing those clown earrings in the concept photos. Edit: also, the hallucinations are a different coping mechanism for his mental illness; he's using them "like a drug"
hello, not to sound rude but this theory has been disproved on twitter. The bands are not hospital bands but rather the ones you use when entering carnivals and festivals (can be a reference to blue hour's concept). The people who disproved the theory also emphasized that it is bad to say that antidepressants causes hallucinations because medicines for mental illness are already stigmatized. The stigma being the assumption that the medicine mentally-ill people are taking causes what they're feeling or even worsens it. I mean, anything is possible when making theories but this theory entails a lot of negative aspects about mental health that can misinform people. I don't know how you always have epiphanies when you react to these videos but, since the MV came out only yesterday and there's A LOT to figure out and that I didn't grasp about the story, it's a blessing to be able to have your reactions. I emotionally feel what the MV is talking about but I become so dense when it comes to analyse the details and explain figurative things in a concretely. And symbolism is one of my favorite things! :0 So I'm grateful for your reactions, as always, but especially now. Sorry to not have infos about the MV this time! ^^ I am soooo in love with this comeback. The rock concept of 0X1=LOVESONG (zero by one lovesong) is so pretty. The members are stunning and really showed off their aptitudes. I find the "drug" argument you talked about is really fitting. To be in such a low moment and feel numb and worthless, singing to this angel... 0X1 may mean "me, a loser, with YOU, the one". The title is beautiful, the album is beautiful, the members are doing beyond amazing. I'm really happy and proud.

Good call on the mental health angle. General consensus is YJ is alone from when he leaves the house and is struggling with mental health stuff, and has hallucinated the other members, or maybe maladaptive daydreaming happening. The choreo is gorgeous too, you can see it on their comeback show. I wouldn't do a reaction to it though because it'll probably be flagged. Definitely watch the whole comeback though because it's fab, and all the performances are great. I love the choreo for No Rules (the boys seem to really enjoy that performance too, especially Soobin). Anti-Romantic is very soft boy vibes. The whole album is awesome tbh. I really like Frost, the last song on the album, it's a totally different sound again. Like I think Anti-Romantic and Frost couldn't be more different and I love the fact they're on the same album.
Glad u liked the song, it really is a masterpiece, it’s presented very well, ... what I absolutely love about this song and the whole Chaos Chapter: Freeze album is that it diversifies TXT’s sound a lot... songs like Frost is something I wouldn’t expect of any 4th gen group and even if I did, TXT would be the last one I’d expect with such a sound..l but they have it in their album .... Do give their album a listen in private maybe even if u maynot have time to react, it’s gonna be worth it. (SPOILER) . . . AND the CHOREO... my god it is tiring XD, there r a lot of jumps, and emotional expression is key in this choreography and both expressions & textures r used to bring it out .... lots of milking, feeling the upper body, level changes, .... the choreography is honestly very interesting.... I saw focus cam of their comeback showcase performance, the dance angles r very interesting (not as per their own individual skills but the lines the choreo wants to implement as a whole) I am really looking forward to dance practice as well....

If you look closely every so often there are scenes of Yeonjun alone in his house. He’s been dreaming/hallucinating everything. He does try to run away, but he never went far, in the last scene you can see his apt building behind him. The lyrics are hard hitting and I’m glad you noticed them, because many people stay in the sound and visuals. I’m not sure if he means getting into heaven as in dying (which is mentioned) but they also refer to his angel twice, one time it feels like he’s speaking about his parents, which can be seen arguing behind him. So heaven could also be a peaceful home. Certainly the “say you love me” is to his parents although sometimes it’s also directed towards the one saving him.

There are a lot of betta fishes on the mv which symbolize individualism, solitude, and well-known as beautiful soldiers with defiant spirit who always crave for freedom. That just suits Yeonjun's perspective in this storyline. OOOOFF! Starting from now on, Im not gonna look at my pet betta fishes at home the same way anymore. I'll be always reminded of +x+ every time I see them. Lol

I don't know if someone already pointed out but when yeonjun was sitting at back his parents were shown fighting, someone said that he has abusive parents causing his mental illness. The other members (his friends) were all his hallucination. The fish tank & portable pool symbolizes how they are so helpless & there's a bigger world for them but since they are helpless they can't get out of that small world (fish tank/pool)
