In my own opinion this man is educated. I see some comments that he is under graduate. Because of the colonial language he speaks. Who gives a (F) about that language. Education is not at the school. It’s within the society ✌️let justice guide our actions to ward the common good.
There’s was not tribalism problem in the Gambia until Yahya brought it before end of his time and president Barrow an his party want to used it to separate people of this blessed country but it will never work because Allah don’t want separation so He will not support them on that. One Gambia one people it’s a small country full of love, very good people very nice people and a wonderful cultures as well. May almighty Allah protect our country the Gambia and thumbs up for Mr Sanyang he sounds interested smart and know a lots.
@EvexMybusiness The truth to be told, it was Yayah; that brought tribalism in the Gambia. May Allah forgive him for his shortfalls and his enablers. Until we turn our back on this serious disease Gambia will never go progress.
This man I have high regard and respect for. Don't understand estimate him. He is speaking the truth but nothing but the truth. I wish politicians and so call intellectuals think like him
Mesmerize over how to replicate a machine part or how to refine and process earth resources and careless in what language you're going about it. Creativity needs concerted thinking and the ability to think is not precisely a linguistic endowment. The key to creativity/invention is; imagination, which is different from merely dreaming

The man is interesting i really like his taughts...he travelled n therefore understand things..people's like him we need...thank you too the interviewer
Gambians need education especially in the rural areas. Everyone in those areas voted for Barrow even though he didn’t present any program to better their lives. We only hear about tribalism when election approaches, why can’t we understand that no president can deport any tribe.
Rural areas cannot make a person to become president in that small country..majority of the votes are kombos..Rural areas some have no voters card and most of them are already travelled

This bridge is a Gambian bridge and that is very clear. Moreover, it is the Gambia which benefits from taxes and all payments for the crossing. Senegal just participated in the construction to facilitate transport and save time for the Senegalese populations on both sides. The two countries worked together to obtain financing from the AfDB, with the support of ECOWAS. That's all. For your information
Tribal hate is well rooted in the heart of Gambians now. Let old man speak with no fear or favour. The wolofs are those who refuses to speak Mandinka. I can attest .
@@MahaJallow-xm7rp whilst Mr Marrong is wrong and doesn't need too point out any particular tribe by name and put the blame on them. Reality is Mr Jallow we are not blind of the hypocrisy of some people whom happen to be fulas trying to take whatever side is against wolofs in Senegal and whatever side is against mandinkas in gambia. We are not stupid and have noticed to you guys rushing involving yourself in this because of your own political interests. your so called help is not genuine and even a blind man can see it. The next time go deal with your own tribal issues with mandinkas, wolofs, dogons, Jolas, susus, Igbo and yoruba, Akan people etc from nigeria to Gambia. Nobody believes this so called fake love and protection, focus on dealing with your own tribe calling every dark skinned person a machewdo then come back and talk about other people and even then its none of your business. It's between these two ethnicities not your ethnicity. you won't see no mandinka or wolof involving themselves between fulas and igbos or fulas and dogon. you should do the same.

Ecowas is taking us backwards! They need to leave because the reason why the leader is refusing to step down is because he knows he’s getting protected by Ecowas and they had no reason to be in the Gambia atm.

I agree! Because tribalism is a complete hindrance, That STOP growth and development of ANY Nation. If every tribe come to gather to donate what they can without any criticism to purchase concrete or asphalt To build better roads in Gambia. Then allow everyone that’s willing and capable of labor to volunteer their time and hard work to create beautiful road structures. Would be the most fulfilling attribute that the people of Gambia themselves will live to appreciate in harmony. Because they would be able to witness what they have created together everyday of their lives. And for the record STOP asking people who are Not African to help you. Please allow all Africans all over the earth to donate the money they can for the Gambian construction. And remember that Cash App or APPLE PAY Is a direct way to receive donated funding to purchase the supplies that needed. The people of should be willing to come together and donate their time and hard work for free. Those that work for free award should be free houses that they help work to build for themselves eventually. The agreement and contract will be everyone will work together until everyone who participates houses are built up to livable modern standard.

It's true, a lot of Mandinka buys don't want or for them only that language exists. I'm with some guys friends for a long time who don't understand Wolof. but the interesting thing is when I heard one of them said he do'nt wan to spek anothre langue
really Mr Ba In fact fulas in Senegal even demonstrated and marched against wolof language, they even stated openly that, the language wolof is not a real language we all have those fulas recorded saying this and some of them came into gambia with that same mentality. Now i suggest you check your own community and leave your politically driven motivation behind. Your whole claim is ridiculous, the reality is that mandibkas are the only tribe that is wide spread in every region in Gambia, but some fo you guys grew up in Banjul or Serrekunda then walk into other regions and expect them to speak whatever you are speaking. Lets reverse the question can people go to Dakar or any wolof dominated area and expect them to know mandinka or Jola or sarakule or whatever language. The demonstration against wolof language by fulas during Wades time was done by fulas and its welll documented and your community got their own business community that is tribe based and they sit every sunday and decide the prices of what things are gonna be and the interesting thing is they won't allow you to be a part of it unless you are a fula. all of these are facts and i can post the dates and write exactly where people are to find out about these incidents and communities if you dare to dispute it.
This bridge is a Gambian bridge but not exclusively made by the Gambia. It is a crowfunded financing made by the ADB and the 2 countries. The project was jointly financed by the Bank Group (99.07%), the Government of Gambia (0.24%) and the Government of Senegal (0.69%). It is called Senegambia Bridge because it is a sub-regional bridge whose execution is shared by the two countries (although the bridge is entirely within Gambian territory). It was designed as part of opening up the ECOWAS region. This is to facilitate transportation between the northern and southern part of Senegal separated by Gambia.

Which of the languages. This is exactly the problem with Gambia. You need one language that everyone speaks. Stick with the English as that’s what is taught in school
Another desperate APRC sympathizer, Jammeh is gone and he’ll not come back again just deal with it. The issue isn’t wolof and mandinka, one is barely 10% and the other is 40%. The main issue with Gambia is normalized corruption within our institutions and the overall backwardness of our population.
Jammeh is gone but Gambia remains in abject poverty due to tribalism, nepotism and corruption many just let things slide just for peace if not there won’t be any thing call smiling cost of the Gambia. We all the greedy ones who thinks Gambia was created for them only 😂😂😂

Greed is the main problem because some us thinks Gambia was created for a specific group people for that reason Gambia will never develop 😂we will forever remain the way are if don’t unite as one people and stop the nepotism and tribalism

He's making sense but not all what he said. How dare he'll question us who Yahya Jammeh killed. And talking about not speaking another language doesn't have anything to do with tribalism.
this is very sad you are forcing yourself to speak a language that you cannot speak well why can't you speak your own language and your people will understand you very well this only happened in our Africa and it is very sad
