A retired soldier finds himself trapped in a time loop that resets every time he dies and must find a way to escape it without losing his family. Subscribe to our second channel: tinyurl.com/Movie-Recaps
After trying no helicopter runs for a long time, he finally decides to do some helicopter runs and managed to get his new sub 14 Pb and even gets the secret ending achievement.
He grinded that speedrun down to a Sub-13 minute run. What an absolute beast. Edit: I can't even get out of bed in 13 minutes, and this man breaks into a science lab and saves his hostage wife in less time.
That wouldn't actually happen. The bullet trajectories are not a constant, they are a variable. The shooter is actively aiming for him, ho when he changes positions, so will the bullet trajectories.
i like these loop movies. really puts into perspective how much you can learn if you have all the time on your hands, no adverse side effects, and an extreme and situational motive towards accomplishing a goal, which usually ends up with the loop finalizing and a return to normalcy.
In this movie, Mel has only few monologues but they are perfectly executed. This how much impact Mel has in this movie and he is an integral part of this entire chain of events.
During the scene where Roy asks Jemma how to turn off the "spindle", I thought they were going to bamboozle everyone and reveal Jemma was the true antagonist all along, and that she was just using Roy (remember he's her Ex) to get rid of Ventor and Brett, so she could then use the Spindle to destroy or take over the world... That would've been one hell of a plot twist.
This recap is great, but it really doesn't do justice to how hilarious it is when Guan-yin introduces herself after every reset when killing MC and how the guy just gets increasingly frustrated. "I am Guan-yin, and Guan-yin has done this!"
There is the anime Re:zero starting life in another world. It's about a 17 year old highschool drop named Subaru out whose suddenly transported to another world and has the greatest time ever.
I watched this. It was pretty good. I'm betting half the people like me liked the ending and half were absolutely pissed off. The main guy is good, I remember him playing small parts in a bunch of stuff and I'm glad he got a starring role. Dude is built like a fucking unit.
Roy's quote on quote life in this time loop was extremely difficult and scary.. Constantly being killed by assassins from the point the time loop starts till the end and then all over again.. That was a literal torture..
nah, he could at least steal tasty snacks without consequences endlessly. So many possibilities and you care about being killed. Even if you feel pain from getting wounds during dying, if you have unlimited time you can steal really strong pain killers. if you use it properly, you can be a literal god with this time loop
@@janbruhovsky7247 True all he had to do was escape the first 2 assassins, remove his tooth and then he has about 12 hours to do whatever he wants before it restarts
Spoiler: Don't read the comment if you want to see and enjoy the movie. That's what I assume a ending could be for the end scene. He get's one final reset, and it ends open ended. Whether he completed and did everything right with the world living, or he fucks up somehow and it all ends with the world ending for good.
Him not being able to kill Guan-Yin with guns despite infinite retries pissed me off. Yes, of all the wacky, zany, unbelievable stuff in the movie, you're telling me a guy who has thousands of kills at this point can't dome her while she postures or light her up when he uses machine guns?
Remember the title- “Boss Level”. It’s supposed to seem like a game, and in some games, when you can’t beat a boss a certain way, the game is telling you to try something else.
Bear in mind he's done the whole day before this point. His reaction times on the guns might just be fucked by the time he gets to her. I mean, when he figures out the helicopter trick, he gets her easily.
I like that the movie ends with a little mystery of if he ever actually succeeded in redoing everything but this time with the risk of actually dying forever
This looks good I'm a sucker for time loop movies. But I wonder does his brain deteriorate from always resetting? There's this short film from the 90's called "12:01pm" it's also a time loop film but the time loop is really short and everything resets in 1 hour. The main character in that short film tried everything from getting killed, traveling far, etc. but everything resets at 12:01pm. There's a discussion about the film that the main character would eventually turn in to a person in a vegetative state similar to those people in coma cause of the constant loop retaining the memories from past events. What I mean is his brain deteriorates over time, he can't die and he can't escape that's why he'll eventually turn in to a mindless person with no sense of anything.
only 1 hour?? Damn !!! that's gonna be most annoying thing. Living 1 hour again and again, I would go nuts. I saw one other movie where time resets after 24 hours. Even that would hell annoying. Time loop is only good if it activates on death or if It has a long reset period (lets say 1 year or so on)
There was a nice little novel with similar theme (The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August). Although the loop lasted for a lifetime, it was mentioned at some point the loop-immortals started developing early mental illnesses and picked up certain addictions from birth. But yeah, many loop films pass the subject of brain damage and trauma from all the deaths and pain.
The end was kind of silly. He should've used the resets to practice his endgame plan until he has it down cold. _Then_ go back and restart the loop. But whatever.
I just watched this movie. This is by far the best movie I've seen with Frank Grillo in the leading role. Reminded me of Edge of Tomorrow a little, and I liked that movie a lot too.
"...but his next obstacle is Guan-yin, whose sword fighting skills are too good for him to stop her with mere wallets." Took me a second, but I see what you did there. 👍🏽
Just imagine how everyone else sees him. To them, he seems ominescent. Knowing exactly where they are and already countering before they even move. And here I am getting mad at blind prefire in games.
The climax of the movie should've been him going through the day after reality resets, because on that day, he no longer has any room for error. The helicopter plan goes wrong and he has to improvise. He has 14 minutes to save his wife, which play out in real-time.
Thanks to recaps, I’ve “seen” more movies in two hours that sitting and watching one. Plus, I get to watch these movies I’ve never heard of nor would ever spend watching in real time. Thanks!!
I knew about this movie but decided to skip it. Man, was I wrong? This looks so interesting. I'm definitely gonna watch the full movie now but I wish the ending didn't just stop like that.
As ridiculous as dodging bullets with a sword seems, the anime Trigun explains the main character does this by watching the muzzle of the gun and has trained over 30 years to be able to gauge distance and direction the muzzle is lined up with.
I would have honestly found it way funnier if he just killed her in one swift shot like Indiana Jones in that one scene. Would have been hillarious. Like, she could have been really dangerous whenever she happened to sneak up on him but when facing him she just dies maybe with him making a bit of fun of her "Ehh...sorry sweety...bullet beats sword...this aint an anime!"
@@lovetownsend okay, so I point the gun at you. You dodge away. I point the gun at where you're about to land and pull the trigger. This is called "leading the target", and it's something that every single person does with every single gun. Why can't you admit that a Shonen Anime is absurd?
@@gsofficial but what if you used the direction of the muzzle and lead with your blade, perfectly intercepting the bullets path when you landed. It is impossible, but that’s his logic I believe
This movie was so funny!! Not regretting watching it but to me it’s probably more funny duo to the fact that in the German version Frank Grillo had the same voice with Deadpool which fits to Frank Grillo‘s character so well! 😂😂 Fun fact: Captain America and Deadpool also share the same Voice Actor in the German versions 😳
