Thanks everyone for the kind words. It's difficult to not get a bit of impostor syndrome reading through some of the comments, but I'm happy the Minecraft videos over the years were enjoyable to many of you. I'm excited to possibly try some new things in the future. In the meantime I'm still going to try not to die immediately in the hardcore series O_O

Dont downplay your impact on the minecraft youtube community. 13 years consistently making high quality content while having an incredibly likeable personality, never having any negative scandals, never having to do anything vulgar to be entertaining and thus having a more broad and accepting community than is the norm with youtubers nowadays. In my eyes, easily top 3 minecraft youtuber all time

The end of an era, you were the last true honest survivor of what our generation grew up on. I have watched you since I was a true child and now as a fulltime firefighter I get to watch you retire peacefully. I have continued to watch and keep up with you and I have never been let down by what you do and have done. Maaan, whilst I haven't watched your videos for a while now you were the first youtube channel I really got into as a kid. I still go back and watch black ops 1 videos sometimes for that hit of nostalgia. All the best mate.

I remember the early days of Minecraft before the end or villagers or anything. It was so fun watching all the RU-vidrs like you, especially with the colabs. I petered out watching those videos probably around 2014? My eldest is now 6 and we got minetest and mineclone set up on a raspberry pi for him, and he's gotten obsessed with that and Minecraft, so I've been looking up all that stuff again. Bittersweet.

You say you were never the biggest minecraft channel, which to some extent is true, but you are by FAR the most influential minecraft channel. You almost single handedly formed the way minecraft youtube evolved and stayed with it for 13 years! There is no way you can downplay yourself like that. As a now 22 year old man, going on 23 this year. I, and everyone else whom you have made videos for along the years would like to thank you Jardon for all the series you brought to us throughout the years of watching. Some of my absolute favourites were: Mianite, Trinity Island, Super modded survival, Ultra modded survival, Minecraft maps, games with Nick and Mark, Ultra Hardcore, Alien Isolation. and I can’t forget the myth, the legend. Minecraft Hunger Games! and not to mention your beautifully made music videos whom I’ve treasured in my mind and will never forget. Every time I hear the originals of your older music I can’t help but think of your music instead, it is probably the most nostalgic music I hear nowadays. I never thought of it till you mention growing up and interesting in more direct to camera videos, but I have been watching since I was 13 and now about to turn 24. You were the person that got me into Minecraft and the RU-vidr that introduced me to what RU-vid is. It's crazy to think I've been playing minecraft for 11 years and watching you for the same length. And you are right that as I am getting older l, I no longer have as much time to watch 30-40 minute videos of game play or even the drive to. By drive to watch I'm talking about the fact that watching someone else play edited games. I enjoy the streams still because there are interactions with others and chat that can pose interesting topics and discussions that are normally chopped out of edited videos. Call it me getting older but videos that create thought and dialog are a lot more interesting to me now.

Looking back to when I was 6 and now 23 your minecraft videos have been a big staple of my life somethingni always looked forwards to after I came home from to watch and enjoy u have brought me so much laughter and smiles through dark times thank u captin for being one of the very first minecraft channels I ever started watch and never stop doing what u do best
