The best way to look at it is that while we’re losing all these wonderful creators, we can welcome in a ton of new and interesting creators that’ll forever change the platform
People have lives, they can't just stay in front of a camera all the time just for other strangers' entertainment. "Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened."
Yea and moo from the vannos crew is retiring from RU-vid for his new job he got, it really sucks to see your favorite RU-vidrs leave the channel to someone else or just leave it in the dark but it’s all for the best for them and I really wish them luck on their journey and their future.
We will always miss them all they just want a break lets hope they come back we just have to be patient and if they dont come back that doesn't mean😔 that they will disappear they the memories the videos will all be engraved in to the internet 😔😔
If I could ever see any of these RU-vidrs again I will tell them that even though you're gone will always be standing right beside you and if you ever need anything we would be more than happy to help
2 reasons from our perspective: 1) They need a new environment to continue growing to their next level. Sometimes we need to leave the pot that helped us grow to make room for even more growth. 2) Burnout. Success is often defined by a certain result, but we neglect to think about how we are feeling in order to produce those results. If we don't take enough time to slow down and realize how we're feeling throughout the process, we may run into creating the very environment our goals helped us leave.
Im pretty sure that captainsparkelz one is him retiring minecraft series from his main channel or something along those lines, ive seen it... making me question the validity of the other clips
Tom Scott was clear about his decision. He decided to take some time so he can focus on the things that really matter in his life, which is admirable. But he did say that he would continue his podcast and then he may drop a video at some point. But yeah his videos seem to be very time consuming and he would post once a week without fail for over a decade. He was consistent and informative
Maybe the legends are making way for the new generation of Streamers to rise up and take their place, sad though it is. MatPat's right. There will never be another one of the RU-vidrs leaving, but I think it's better that way, somehow. If every channel was the same, there wouldn't be the need for other people to rise up and that's why RU-vid is so great : there's a diversity that's almost unseen throughout the rest of social media. So, yes, there will never be another MatPat, but there'll be someone else to take up a new standard and people will love them, and the legends will never be forgotten.
There are physical athletes And then mental athletes. RU-vidrs are mental athletes along with people with content creation as their job and other jobs dealing with things that would of course cause mental blunting. (I’m not saying content creators get mental blunting, I’m saying people like morticians or doctors who deal with death/terrible news to others.). They have to deal with the judgement of millions to even billions, that if someone recognizes them at somewhere like the store more people will come, and that some people with malicious intent will scour everything they can find to cause harm. They had a good time I bet, and I hope they continue to have good times. They have families now, and I hope a new generation will come and rise to their places.
I think that its for the best for youtube that they quit because it lets smaller creators take a stand in making content for us to enjoy because no ones gonna keep making videos when they are above the age of 39 it lets smaller creators take a chance to start gaining popularity and when those youtuber quit more can take the chance and grow
I believe this is the best, it makes our favorite creators happy, we should be happy for them, the mental state can affect anybody in a negative impact and miss a lot of important activities with friends and family personally. I believe everyone deserves a break and take a time off without to worry about RU-vid Content for a long while. I think Pewdiepie was the guy we all told and he seems well for a month but now has a baby, soon to be a toddler then a child, to a preteen, headings towards a teenager and finally a adult he can be proud of raising. Of course we all will be old too when he also takes a personal break too. Sure social media is the same, feeding our crave attention of content but at this point when they all (anybody in general who is a content creator or influencer of entertainment) should relax and enjoy what you can in life. Even small content creators deserves it, anybody but don't be lazy though either. DAMM IMMA MISS MATPAT, WHO KNOWS, ONE OUT OF ALL PEOPLE LIVING RIGHT NOW MIGHT CROSSPASS AND WAVE/GREET HELLO TO YOUR FAVORITE RU-vidR! 😭 ITS JUST A THEORY A HOPEFUL THEORY!
Snothrr person who left.. in vinn from gacha community, RU-vid has tooken over people lives, TikTok, twitch, has tooken over som many peoples lives.. I respect that they want to be able to live there own lives
Cap isn’t quitting though, he’s just not Gina l gonna focus on Minecraft related content on his main channel anymore, but everything else will basically be unchanged lmao
People aint ready for the first cycle of the first gen RU-vid OGs taking a break? I feel for them, loyal audiences of these content pioneers will not put strict expectations on their beloved content creators to stay forever doing content
We expect them to pump out perfect content regularly. Many more need to make videos less frequently. Imagine a world where every creator took one week off a month.
Oh, I see. Guys, you’ve heard it? These people are retiring from RU-vid because they wanted to return to their old lives. To all of them: Farewell and good luck to you all!
people keep saying "quitting" but i don't think that is an accurate way to say it. matpat isn't ending involvement, he just going to stop hosting the show. Tom Scott is still going to upload just not on a regular basis anymore (he literally changed the thumbnail of the goodbye video because everyone thought he was entirely quitting even though he says otherwise in the video). Captiansparklez is just stopping Minecraft content on his main channel and still posts regularly (although as of writing this comment no actual change has come to his channel). Stampy just ended a series and is running a podcast now.
At the same moment, UTTP and their associates are kicking their communities while they are down. Even if they leave, so long as their channels continue to exist, they won't stop, as a collective.

@@davehusten2801 i dont get your point comparing the most easiest job to one that requires hours of training/ an athlete, stupid RU-vidr don’t even do 1% of what athletes do
This is different, since so many are leaving all at once, and the really big ones too. The ones that are our childhood, and it's something like that which hits some of us who grew up with them. The ones that taught us, fought with us, built our lives. Those people that we have watched for our entire lives. Seeing them all leave just so (apparently) suddenly. That just... gets us. It makes us sad, realizing what them leaving means. But it also makes us happy, knowing they're happy now, without the pressure of the internet. Just because you don't feel this way, that you don't feel this about these creators, that maybe yours didn't leave the platform yet. Other people are feeling like this. It hurts, and I ask for you to understand that. To not be... insensitive (For lack of a better word), about this. Or at least phrase it differently than you did in this comment.
