Nah Eliphas and their Elites Nearly died by the mere Guardsman. Inquisitor: Well said! "that was a .../sarcasm'" Inquisitor: BLASPHEMY!!!!! *BLAM* you shouldn't Said that... Btw 1:41
The Hive Lord squishes a tiny human general so desperate that he's resorted to using himself as an artillery spotter Lord Castor is backed up by a full patoon and an Inquisitor; it's so stacked in his favor he considers it a safari Autarch Kayleth cuts an isolated Warboss with no power armor to shreds Kaptin Bluddflagg stomps all over a single Eldar who was either too slow or too stubborn to run Captain Diomedes has probably the most even tutorial boss, a single Chaos Lord Psyker. Pretty comparable matchup So you come into Eliphas's tutorial mission expecting the same basic thing for your fight, a single Marine Captain Nope Venerable Dreadnought Thule A centuries-old killing machine with two giant tank-smashing fists and a pathological hatred for anything bearing an eight-pointed star and the strongest armor plating this side of a Land Raider Have fun
Wow so hard, not like you don't have a chaos sorcerer, a champion, a thousands year old warrior who lives for these campaigns, power imbued by the Dark Gods, and bunkers to put your heavy gunners in. Also, Guard has to deal with reinforcements, has no armor that can withstand a tyranid, and oh yeah, shoot with laser pointers against a carapace capable of taking bolter shots like they're bb's
@@rightwingofthenuthouse3232 Yeah I'm going to completely disagree with your assessment, because you kinda missed my point. For all of the other armies, the first boss is on the backfoot. In the Tyranid campaign, the Guard are losing and the general is desperate; while in the Guard campaign, the Tyranids are losing and the general is really cocky about it. This does not apply to the Chaos campaign. Thule is not losing at the moment you find him. Thule is in his element. His element is dead Chaos Marines
Yeah that really does beg the question - why they've decided not to put Eliphas against Diomedes? Maybe it's because Eliphas has an actual history with Thule (Kronus campaign) and putting Diomedes who just have basic commander skills from DoW2 would've been too boring.
"Davian Thule lies dead, along with his Heroes of Aurelia." This already tells me that this mission is not canon. The Heroes of Aurelia included Tarkus, Cyrus, Jonah Orion, Martellus and Thule. Avitus is the canon traitor so he is dead and Aramus the Force Commander and Thaddeus are on a Redemption Crusade. That means that unless you somehow killed them in this mission which we saw you do not, then that means this mission, along with the death of Thule, are not canon.
+Jacob Sailer SM is always canon. Even for Soulstorm Relic initially announced the Sm ending as canon but people really hated bathul bruvva Boreale so they eventually went with the more popular character.
I don't know what you find so problematic with this Eliphas. From a Chaos Lord/Dark Apostle he was banished ''forever'', but then he was brought back as an Aspiring Champion(Which is enough of a reason to be angry, in my opinion.) THEN HE WAS KILLED AGAIN, and brought back as Abaddon's toy as his last chance. Really, I think that Eliphas has plenty of reasons to be angry rather than what he was in Dark Crusade. I think his new voice and lines suit him perfectly well in Retri/Chaos Rising.
+Hierarch Pyroketox Everything what is tainted with chaos can easily corrupt you as well in the rotting empire using or watching something with chaos presence is highly prohibited.
Well, the reason in-universe is that Eliphas in a different body, thus with a different voice. But the reason it's truly different is because his voice actor voices Gabriel Angelos, as well as General Sturnn. That means one guy has voiced the three best characters in the Dawn of War series.
Weird how the studio had the sense to bring back Sindris voice actor but didn't bother to have Captain Angelous voice actor reprise his role as Eliphas.
That's because the original voice of Eliphas is just a more sinister and deeper Gabriel Angelos - it's the same voice actor and they're quite similar. Steve Blum has a wider range so he can kinda get away with it.
Okay, we are no longer friends with "your weapon has died, you are next", now we are friends with -"Y E S"- "I have grown practiced at killing you, Eliphas".
@Numguk If I recall correctly, Abaddon is never actually in the game, and is only seen physically by Eliphas once at the end of Chaos Rising, where a Chaos Terminator stood behind Abaddon, acting as his arms. So it's plausible that Eliphas doesn't know about the armless failure's armlessness. Even if he did know, Abaddon can still bring the entire Black Legion, daemon lords, and probably Kharn's crew (What a great guy :) ) down on him due to his favor with Khorne & Friends.
You know Cadia is among the most protected planets in the galaxy, right? It's not that easy for Abaddon to gather such larger force to conquer Cadia, since the chaos space marines fight amongst themselves.
+Stevens TPR He doesn't need to take it, he just needs to destroy the Cadian Gate. And let me reiterate that he's had TEN THOUSAND YEARS. And his arms fall off.
Though to be fair, time does not flow the same way in the warp as they do in the real time. Abaddon could have tried a lot more time if only the ruinous powers allowed him. It would make sense since Chaos would want to feed from the pain and suffering left in the wake of his black crusade for as long as they can.
My headcanon that Chaos campaign is continuity of Full Corruption ending of Chaos Rising and Kain is a former Force Commander who joined the Black Legion
I think Neroth was undivided but I was just pointing out that Sindri was a pretty hardcore Khornate guy, offering up a "Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne" despite Khorne not really liking sorcerers.
You're right - Davian would've whipped 'em all like he owned them, Dreadnaught armor or not! That said, it's safe to say that Davian only lost because of Neroth's (Sindri in disguise perhaps..?) actions.
@Gjkl345 That and Davian Thule used to sound like an arrogant and chauvinistic Arthurian knight, though with witty statements and bravado. Which is better, the DoW2 Vanilla Thule or the DC?
*after the chaos party leaves thule: hehe, im still alive and i may the emp *ashis arms go up, sparks fly, and they back to the ground thule: shit, they broke my mottor functions. SOMEBODY HELP!
"AN AMBUSH OF LIKE 10 SCOUT MARINES, WE ARE FINISHED!" Eliphas the inheritor, champion of the black legion and dark apostle of the word bearers, fearing an ambush made after he dissed his underling for being incompotent and falling to a similar force.
why do many people think this is canon? he said heroes of aurelia, obv its gonna involve gabriel, cyrus, hairgel, tarkus, jonah, etc. those guys are not dead in SM campaign and anything related to blood ravens in dow 2 are always canon.
Since the canon ending is Space Marines, that means Eliphas gets BTFO. Even if the canon CANON ending is a mix of multiple endings, Eliphas would never get the chance to fight Thule
