This set of commercials is a continuation of the NBC 'The Big Event' TV movie. This set has some really great commercials from the late 70's period. Some sponsors to note are Wendy's, 7-UP, Burger King, Kodak, Flintstones Vitamins, and a really neat movie trailer for "The In-Laws". A fantastic episode this be!

You'll also know his voice from Dunkin' Donuts and MCI commercials in the 80s. 4:12 William Schallert on the voice-over for "The In-Laws." 6:13 John Connell on the VO for Maryland National Bank. He was an actor who became a great commercial voice-over talent.

Kind of interesting that the movie they were showing at the time was about people on a cruise getting sick from a disease and not that long ago IRL a bunch of cruise ship passengers had to be quarantined because some passengers tested positive for coronavirus. Coincidence? I think not.
