Flashbacks!! I fell in love with the Rubber Duck Mack when I was a wee lad( don’t ask how long ago that was🤣) I learned on an 81 R model with a 5 speed and it would haul! The son in laws family has a red 83 R with the 10 speed. I am sold on this game now . That there is legit how a Mack reacts and sounds . What does a Mack driver and the hood ornament have in common ? Just one A Hole looking at another 🤣

I'm glad Jeff that you mentioned the FOV for the mirrors. They were surprised but definitely took your suggestion seriously. Hopefully in the future that will be fixed.

This is exactly the setup CalFire uses for Dozer Transport. A red day cab Mack and a lowboy with usually a CAT D6-D9 on it. Those boys can really haul the mail code 3 pulling a dozer it's amazing. Thanks for sharing Jeff !

Here in Jamaica you mostly see these running as straight trucks with a 45t dump box on the back or as these gigantic twinsteer concrete mixers and i love them.

That sound is perfect. At the Dominican Republic you can find a lot of those Mack trucks with a attached trailer used to transport sand.

There's something unique about these Mack R Models, especially the ones with 8V motors

Love the old R model Mack’s! I learned to drive on and still drive a 2003 Mack 10-wheeler at work and the old guys there always told me; when you drive a Mack, you’re always just chasing that damn dogs ass.😂

There's a farm by me that has one of these in their fleet. I see it occasionally during the crop seasons hauling a grain trailer. It's blue and gray with chrome bits

I still drive one. We use ours to haul silage on the farm. Only thing the game is missing how much coal these trucks actually roll with a load behind you.

Old Macks like to be driven harder. Bang through the gears like you're being chased by the fuzz.

My dad use to our one of these I loved that truck but we were running low on money so he sold it (And could you do a Mack b model next?)

2:48 dont worry those Mack R are actually really typical on the gear changes, compared to an Eaton

I drove Macks for about half of my career and just about all of them were 12 speeds. A couple were twin sticks. Every one of them, I had to rev them to over 2,000 rpm closer to 2,400 to be able to shift to the next gear up. They were a tank and you couldn't kill them.

If ATS allowed the driver to walk around freely & do pre - trip inspections that'd be a great addition. I love this truck to, The Mack R & Anthem have to be my two favorites. Loved the video Jeff, Feels like I'm in the truck rolling down the highway.

There is an addon for this truck it adds a sleeper cab, a few hood options etc. It is on the scs forums under the truck's topic on page 54 of the discussion. If you want to check it out.

The horsepower on that Mack is only in the 300's. You gotta start it in 1 when loaded. Old school truck, lower power.

Its a shame no one has an Fuller RTO/9509A 8 speed gear box in their mod trucks, watching everyone mess up the gear changes because 3rd and 4th are swapped would be hilarious. Drove a 92 Ford L9000 with that transmission. I think Eaton had a 13 with 3rd and 4th switched... Granted all a 13 and a 18 speed are, are 8 speeds with splitters. 13 you can split the top and 18 you can split them all. Having learned on a 10 speed, not trying to jam it in low when driving 8s and 13s took a little getting used to. The truck mod is just freaking awesome, love Harven's R model. And while I respect him for keeping it accurate to what you could get in the real truck, a little more pep would be nice.

But my question is, when are you and your friends going to do a convoy through treacherous weather's like: "Tornadoes, Hurricanes, Earthquakes and tremors, Sandstorms and last but least Forest fires?* I left out Avalanches and Blizzards cause you are truly in love with that weather.

My Dad drove a Mack tri axles dump truck in that model up in the mountain the truck blew the turbo after picking up the 1st loads but we manage to get three loads done that day huffing and puffing than the boss told us to take it to shop. Next day they did not have to tow or pull it into the shop cause it still start up with blown turbo, crack manifold , and few other damage from the turbo, they basically has to rebuild the engine. It was still a tank of not quitting on the jobs.

I love the Harven R. And the Fendt sound is my fav. of the zeemods. Add in Dielingwu's sleeper and get some real rubber duck vibes

It would be nice to have a few cars or pickup trucks in game that don't sound like a semi truck. So we could do like a day off trip.Or just like hot shot jobs with a pickup and gooseneck flatbed trailer.

Can someone help me with an issue I’m having with being stuck in neutral when driving with my wheel? For some reason, when I try and shift up, it goes right back to neutral unless I hold the shift button.

What would be nice in game the chance to hook/unhook doubles and triple trailers and I heard scs was teaming up with swift how would that improve the game and heard something on tow trucks

Getting out would be really nice, but I still would like to see them enable sleeping anywhere if you are driving a sleeper. Same as in 18WoS. If you have a day cab then you need to find a hotel/motel. If you have a sleeper, then rest areas, ramps, walbert parking lots, any place that wasn't the roadway was a place you could sleep.

My 1st actual Irl driving job was driving a watewater tanker. It was a straight truck 1982 Mack R with the 6cyl diesel Mack and a 5 speed transmission. Good times.
