this is legitimately one of my favorite bullet heavens, especially the purgatory bosses. Played atleast a couple dozen hours in the demo. The aesthetics are top notch, and making damage directly = xp gained is such a nice touch. I remained convinced that the character is afflicted with some forrm of hallucinations and the actual enemies are either infinitely more terrifying, or infinitely more human

considering the fact that the bosses themselves are the crew that got sent to destroy the anomaly, it isn't too far-fetched to think that the rest of the monsters are also humans that have been mutated by the anomaly.

I don't think Izu is the character. I think you picked up Izu's memory when you beat her, as well as Matthew's when you beat him. Which is a different level of horrifying...

It's definitely how it is considering you beat the other bosses and they all drop a memory of someone they share A LOT of similarities with, such as the biker dropping Harley's memory and Harley used to bike when on earth

I will say that the "code" that very much looks like it could be the code of the weapon is nice for seeing exactly how weapons scale

That0s actually an amalgam of the developers I think. I used to think that as well, that CYL was a combination of all the crew, but it makes more sense to me that each crew member became the bosses we see

This is one of the most intriguing games you showcased, i don't feel very into this genre anymore but the look and the strange story stuff are very interesting. I think I'll pick this up to give it a try

I think the one that is the actual main character is the one that says be safe Matt and that would make sense because like she knows what she said in the back of her mind, but why he doesn’t remember is because of the head surgery and that’s kind of a Blank Space for him But so she kind of like fill in the dots

Many games I play rely heavily on aesthetics. So I can agree with your assesment, Wander. There are many games in certain genres that play very similarly, so the biggest standout is aesthetics.

Music reminds me of the soundtrack to the ENA shorts and dream bbq. I think the character maybe a military grade cyborg lore wise? Red parts are flesh, blue are mechanical and green is the accessories.

If you watch andyland's other work, youll definitely see his art style in here. I do recommend checking out the demo for Endacopia if you want more of this art style. And i also recommend beating the game. Its so good, and the lore gets crazy Also, tip for bosses: AUTO AIM IS YOUR FRIEND

If you want a bullet Heaven with a unique visual style and gameplay that really sets itself apart from the mass of vampire survivor clones, play more Boneraiser Minions. So much fun and great replay. It doesn’t get even a fraction of the attention it deserves

Getting an impression from this game that the creators have played thier fair share of the Touhou games. Deffinity creating their own thing, but I can see some points of inspiration.

it pains me that you didnt try getting close to the rabbit boss when the wheel bullet pattern happens, the inside ring moves slower than the outside. (then again I also tried moving in the outer rings int he demo)

something tells me how you see everything isn't how the world actually is. I think you have the same situation as the second guy ware everything looks deferent becuse of the brain sugary and implants.

At the time of release, the bosses appear in a pre-set order, so the story can be told in a specific order. If the game is well received and sells well, expanding and playing around with the boss pool is high on the list :)
