The funny thing is even back in the day with general midi modules that have buttons and a display most of the time we didn't need to touch a single button on the front of the unit because of software like GS Advanced editor that integrated with your sequencer.
It would be great to demonstrate the modules and compare the different sounds they get and how they perform under different circumstances. Feels like a bit of a missed opportunity, I'd love to hear a real MT-32 vs the more modern Edirol SD-20!
I don’t have a good recording rig on that PC because it’s so old. Also, the MT 32 has a completely different instrument mapping than the others but maybe I’ll see if I can capture them through cakewalk somehow because I do have that installed but I’m normally a ProTools guy.
