RETRO RPG REVIEW: "JG102 Caverns of Thracia" by Judges Guild

I ran the 3e conversion of this a decade ago, and we had so much fun in the Caverns. Definitely one of my favourite dungeons I've ever run. I love the verticality of the dungeon design with the chasms dropping down to the lower level, the rope bridges, and the general looping design. I love beastmen as antagonists, so that's probably why I enjoyed it so much. But there's a lot of classic undead tropes as well like the room where more and more skeletons keep rising. The climax of our particular campaign was a massive battle at the palace of the minotaur king with a player orchestrated slave rebellion. It turned into a bloody slaughter with only two survivors but it was an epic end.

Great review! I primarily play Index Card RPG and Hard Suit as my main systems and I'm excited to dive in and convert this mega dungeon for them.

This is actually next up for Goodman Games to make, after Dark Tower comes out.
