I've watched this kid's videos since the beginning, and it's so rad that he's now making these beautifully edited documentaries like this. It's like this dude's career is an example of Moore's Law. But do really think it would be a MKBHD video if Marques isn't intimately guiding the content of the program? Having sponsorship from YT enables him to things that he just wouldn't be able achieve standalone.

My first gameboy was the gameboy advance. I’m so big on 90s items and I got myself a Gameboy off Ebay with Tetris and Pokémon Gold and I don’t regret it one single bit. It’s nostalgia for someone that wasn’t born until 1999!

This made me weirdly emotional, all that childhood nostalgia... I was with the GBA gen but my brothers grew up the 80s and I got their old GB and GBCs - good times Also 'dope or nope' cracked me up. Especially the fish attachment - like, what? That was a thing?! Crazy XD

The issue with the printer is the paper not the printer itself. The thermal paper that came in the box is decades old. Buy a fresh thermal paper and it should print fine.

I was a 90's kid but my first portable tech was still an OG Game Boy. I have fond memories staying after school, sitting in one of those plastic tubes, finding the right angle of sunlight, and playing Pokemon Blue. More fun than surfing on a phone today.

In the beginning of the GameBoys lifespan Super Mario and especially Tetris were hugely more influental than Pokemon was 10 years later, given that Tetris came bundled with the GB it kinda makes sense but still

it is hard to explain the love for the gameboy.. as a kid growing up to the gameboy i poured hours in to the thing and it is hard to explain the experience with the device growing up.. hearing the start up sound again just felt so nostalgic.. i remeber the days of waking up playing the gameboy and just messing out with what i can.. it is just a wild run..

Loved this series dude! I've got a good one: The Pocket PC. What enabled the first smartphone. Technically the COMPAQ IPAQ h3630 with a GSM expansion sleeve was the first smartphone back in the day. - Jaime

Man, I had several IPAQ's back in the day. They were really great tools back then! I was only a teen, but it really pushed my love for tech, and especially smart phones! Being able to stay organized in school/life, that device really saved me! And you can't forget the Palm Pilot. Had one of those as well. Nostalgic... I feel so old! Haha

yes, but I think marques wants to feature the "biggest"/ best selling products.- so that many people can "relate" -> (walkman etc.)but I agree a pocket pc video would be interesting!
