Including forward walking, yogic practice and reverse walking, altogether I do it 1 hour on a five day week. As you said clearly, I have been benefitted health-wise. Do meditation more and more. (Watch PMC hindi, english, any language). It relaxes you immensely and helps you keep healthy, and friendly. It slsi helps you to get to know yourself
It helps one to start being Awake in life. We are mostly sleepwalking throughput our life. One has to learn to be awake, be conscious most of the time, to know our own selves. This reverse wslking also helps you to learn to keep awake. Meditation also helps, but only when the thoughts are kept out. Being awake turns our life more fruitful and worthwhile, besides helping us turn towards spirituality.
I have seen it in my organisation..one japanese vendor came for inspection and he was staying in a guest house...so evening time he was doing reverse walking.

After retro walk I felt more easiness at the great toe having bunion. If you find this right, please include this in your list of physical benefits of retro walking. Thanks for nice video on retro.
Your videos are very beneficial, i follow them. I am 79 years old, male. I used to do 35/40 minutes mild aerobic cardiac exercises in my appartment hall . During warm ups and In between exercise sets i do a few minutes brisk walks in the hall. I tried Reverse walks and forward walks one after other. This gives good cardiac activity. I notice reverse walking gives a slightly higher activity than forward walks, even though the walking steps are of short lengths, like 20/30 feet. Gives a good awareness and body balance. Like to ask you number of short strides are good enough for me. I chose this way at home as out side environments/ roads are unsafe and uneven. Your advise is highly appreciated. Thank you Madam.
Seniors above 70 yrs old are not advised to do reverse walking. I know of two incidents where a male senior was advised to do reverse walk fell and went to coma. he was kept for 6 months and then died. Another similar case where the person died of head injury from falling.
You can walk at home Just walk on floor having tiles usually of 1/1 ft. Or of 2/2 and walk in line of your tiles 10 steps forward and then 10 steps backward like this you can repeat 5 to 10 times I am sure you will able to keep your balance without any fear probably if you have passage it will be very safe it is hardly of width 3 ft. So very easy to balance
