From "he summons crab?" to the Deathblight crab kills the Dung Eater is just comedy gold LMAO..... That's so perfect and totally by accident. Dung Eater just standing there using weapon art and covered by crab gas
@53:55 Daniel looking at the camera breaking the 4th wall is very 'The Office' or similar situational comedy and I love it. "We've not been down here at all, no". Incredible. Been waiting for this reveal!
I was out and about the other day at work and bumped into gav walking coco. He stopped and had a chat. What a great fella. Nice to meet you gav. All the best mate 👍🏻
@@lilypad585 The 50 is the great egalitarian leveler of Birmingham. Forcing the champagne socialists of Moseley to smell those of the heaths Balsall and Druids.
Omg the slow burn of the Roundtable Hold revelation! Also, lovely little bit of serendipity for Daniel to be able to say he's got a little deja vu from the Minority Report convo
@@mrtetristime That's a fair point but I think he's also just actively engaging in it. "There's lots of Welsh people" might have helped hook him early days but he seems to care about unraveling the mysteries of the game.
It's been 52 episodes but that intro is the coolest thing you guys have done surrounding production of a series, I think. I was really impressed when you got the narrator for DS2 to do some lines but man, that intro is on another level. Sooner or later you're gonna have Michael Zaki himself sitting at the table slagging off Krupa's mom
The Dung Eater is truly the most vile and depraved character in a FromSoft game! It's rare that a video game character makes me uneasy, but this guy is just pure evil.
Now the actions the dung eater takes are definitely voilent and seem purely evil without the full picture but remember the golden order and Marika are originally at fault for cursing the omen to begin with. I suggest the vaati vid on the blessing of despair for a fuller lore pic on dungeater. Still definitely one of the more "bad" endings though.
I love this series so much. Elden Ring has become my favorite game ever and this is always the highlight of the week for me. Can't wait for the next one!!
Judge- "Would the defendant like to make a closing statement at this time, perhaps in gratitude to the humble jury for declaring your innocence?" The defendant- "31:30"
there is a way to save the shrimp man. you have to do the dung eater quest all the way through to the point he attacks you at the lake and you beat him without ever talking to the shrimp man. then when thats done you can talk to him as normal and he'll move to the lake and be fine for the rest of the game
Started a new playthrough to tag you guys along, just yesterday that same thing happened to me with the Crab killing Dungeater. Never happened in any of my previous runs.
Absolutely shook that Gav’s worst nightmare didn’t involve a two seater park bench, but I guess a burning welsh flag would be equally as traumatic for him
Now that the boys have found the Sword of Milos, is it finally time for them to try power-stancing with the Blasphemous Blade? The two synergise really, really well
I hope they eventually see Dung Eater as the righteous character he is. He knows he is despised, accepts that fate and defiles and curses for what is essentially one of the more noble causes in the game. To spread the seedbed curse indiscriminately, to shatter the higher order and bring them down to the gutter with the omen and reviled. He dresses like an omen to symbolise the people he stands for. That’s how I take him anyway. Horrible means to justify a reckoning end to equalise the lots of everyone
saying this at 17:09 If he loses the souls I am gonna laugh and cry, that's a lot but he chose to gamble (which was great for us the viewers). I am stupidly careful to keep my souls, I have lost under 10k souls in 330 hours not counting the ones the npc stole in storm castle (beat the base game 3 times and dlc once, working on a second for the dlc. I always make sure to pick up every sacrifice twig I find.) I think the level of careful and worry I get when my runes drop is quite the negative for gameplay experience, when they are on the group getting them back feels like its a life goal.
8 minutes in and I'm already shouting at the screen for them to use the souls? Why do they never level up??? I'm gonna die of a stroke before the end of this series
Another great episode lads, top quality banter! One question for Rory though: where did you get that Nike jacket? I've seen it in several episodes and I can't for the life of me track it down. Help a slug out!
Oh about dogs eating poo it's normally under 2 occasions. One thier own diet included something bad and by eating the poop there stomachs chemicals will tell them exactly which food it was, 2 when they eat something elses poop its in order to understand what's edible in the area. I've had dogs and cats my entire life so eventually I just had to look it up lol.
Shunning Grounds is not a much later area than Leyndell, its basically on the level of being right after Leyndell... just like Deeproot Depths. But it is the time in the game where you start needing to stop screwing about and have a think about builds and proper upgraded weapons... unless yer actually pretty good at the game and dont really need a build, still probably gonna need good weapons though. Vig 40ish Mind 18-25 End 20-22 Str 17 and rest into Faith And keep Radagons Soreseal on for now... and upgrade Blasphemous Blade to the highest ye can. And you'll have a pretty solid foundation for the rest of the game.
Looking forward to the Stag Party lads, but who invited Rykard and Dung eater? All they talk about is Blasphemy, Defiling, and devouring gods and dung.
To powers point about Omen being anti outer god imma try and explain without spoiling anything. Omen aren't specifically anti greater order or outer gods they are simply people who are born displaying aspects of the primordial crucible example their horns. For some reason that may or may not be explained later Marika's golden order chose to villify them because of that closeness to the primordial crucible. As to your point about the ancestor tribe near nokron the lore just says they are a race thats existed a long time worshiping the lands natural death and rebirth more than the golden order which imposed its own rules.
I don't think we've actually seen the level screen for a while, and I about fell out my chair when I saw that Powers is Level 97. That's massively over levelled for this area, AND he's using arguably the best weapon in the game... But the smorgasbuild is so ineffective that he's no stronger than what a Level 50-60 character normally would be. Powers once again proving that he is physically incapable of being OP. 😂
