Just finished the video and saw that you answered my question on connecting wigwags. Thank you so much. IG had a character limit on the question so I apologize for the lack of specifics. My big issue when I was connecting my wigwags was that the walls were a little thin and uneven to begin with. I have been practicing more since asking and have been able to correct a few issues. Wall thickness, bigger openings at connection points, and more radiant heat has helped a lot along with more reps. Thanks again! 🤘
I'm new to glass blowing and pipe making but have seen almost all the videos on the channel. Much respect to Dustin and his guests for taking the time to teach such a beautiful craft. My favorite part about glass blowing is the community. ever since I reached out on my first face book group, I've received nothing but support and guidance. What a great culture/ movement this is.
Dustin one thing i absolutely love about your commentaries is that you and your guest NEVER talk over each other get into arguments that along with a chill ass track playing makes for some real real good content man youre such a blessing to the community
I can't wait to start melting some glass... My diy kiln is almost done! Once that's done, it's time to get some tanks and light the torch! Thanks for the videos.
Yo, maybe this can help: I haven't tried this personally, but I have heard some frax, or kevlar blanket (the white fluffy fiberglass like stuff) inside of a crockpot will work well for smaller pieces ala marbles and hand pipes as long as your thickness is on point and even. I wouldn't reuse the crock pot for food after but hey, mom's can get a new one lol.. Good luck!
I don't know why, but I got a new idea from this video. I'm going to make a graphite reamer that is very wide, but not deep. Then I will attach it to a marver for implosion work. I feel like imploding retticellos (not sure if I spelled that right but whatever) would make for some awesome inverted pieces for wig-wags.
This pipe is just beautiful. I love glass and collecting quantity pieces. There is something wonderful about having a smoke sesh while using a beautiful piece. Thanks for sharing
I'm truly blown away by how incredible your craftsmanship is. All of these collabs will go down in history as the greatest glass ever blown. So much respect for everyone involved in these projects and im so glad I'm able to watch and learn invaluable techniques for when I start my own journey! Keep up the amazing work Dustin! Looking forward to the next project!
Such a cool piece, thanks for continuing to share all the knowledge. Hopefully some day I’ll have the opportunity to take an in person class. I’m three years in, and never would have gotten my studio up and running without these videos. The endless hours spent with you, Kevin and Carlos in the first seasons gave me the foundation to walk away from a dead end accounting gig. Camera work is always on point, and really helps to see what’s going on in the flame. I’m starting prep work for Christmas ornaments and am going to use this as inspiration to sleeve some colors for that. Thank you for all you do for the community Dustin, you have been a huge blessing in my life!
the level of elegance when you twist the reticello is the elegance of antemperate swan cleansing itself in a babbling brook, the poise & dexterity you have in your craft is not only inspirational, it is almost like guided meditation to watch. i aspire to be as skilled of an artist as you one day.
A few months ago me and my buddy thought maybe we could open a headshop, so we started on that adventure. Along the way, I discovered lampworking. Turns out, I live a short drive from Carlisle here in NJ. And so I bought a GTT Mirage, an exhaust from Griffin Glass and a kiln. I built a table and this weekend should have the exhaust hooked up, the torch hooked up to my tanks and I'll start on the 50lbs of glass I bought. The adventure and what I've learned already has been so cool and I cannot wait to really get going. I'm taking my second class with Carlisle in a week. Maybe sooner than later I'll be out in Cali doing a collab and picking a comment to give away our gear. Love your videos dude thanks so much
I know this is an old video but that pipe is absolutely beautiful and whoever won it is very lucky. I've always wanted to learn how to blow glass but never had the chance. But this is just so calming to watch

The waxed reverse tweezers idea works so well! It took a full step off of my hole opening. i used to heat twice, once to get the hole close to size and once to get it perfect. Now it is one heat stick the tweezers in and done! Thanks!
I learn so much from you guys. I'm absolutely addicted to the knowledge and appreciate how hard. It is to video ,editing, Voice overs etc. Great freaking job 👏👍thanks again.
This pipe is amazing. 👏 the straight seal 🦭 technique ontop of the L marver is going to help me out so much. Thank you for that. I love these videos , and learn so much from them. Keep it up 👍
You have been such an incredible inspiration to me. You bridged a seemingly impossible gap between imagination and execution in the beatiful medium of glass in such an eloquent and engaging way
Wow man. This was my favorite video yet. Very good info and such a joy to watch. I'm doing glass fulltime right now. Been falling short a bit financially. And hoping to get an oxygen system soon. But I'm very grateful just to be able to work with glass like you always say. I really admire your own personal growth as a teacher and artist. My favorite things to make are Dichro images and opals for funkadelic Little sculpture projects and pipes. Bubblers . Sherlock bubblers . . Connections are addicting and such a joy when you can get them clean and even.
Its awesome to see Logan use his reamer on the block to get an evenly round open end. I do the same thing, but now I gotta try connections how he does! Beautiful work from both of you artist and I would love to add that sherlock to my collection
I just wanted to say in response to LED's question about what our favorite part of the process is.. In my humble perspective, I really enjoy watching how different artists will often come to the same techniques or finished product by very different methods. It seems as though there are more than a few different ways to skin a cat as the saying goes, and getting different artists perspectives on how they reach their end goal through different processes is very enlightening and inspiring! I also have to say I truly enjoy the level of creativity coming from this channel and always have, it's never been about one thing, glass is so multifaceted and prismatic, there are infinite ways to express yourself through this medium and it's fantastic to watch you push the boundaries often Dustin. I always appreciate the videos and I think you're doing amazing this season without Kevin, he is missed and I wish him the best, but your family and you are killing it Mr. Revere, thank you so much for all the inspiration as always! Wholeness and balance!
Wow the color choice is really nice on this. It's great seeing the process with the glass blowers commentary over it too. Sherlock pieces are pretty cool in my opinion and I've never seen one made before and now I want to watch more 😂
Wow that is just incredible Sherlock and I just love the red a cello I like how auto correct spells that. I bought an 8 x 10‘ shed that I am making a studio out of and I got my 5 L oxygen concentrator so I will be rolling soon I can’t wait to get it all set up I will send you a picture thanks for all your support and all your help you are the Glassmaster!
Stained glass artist by trade, but taking a torch class in a couple weeks. Found your channel earlier today and really excited to start melting some glass! Great videos and soooo many tips and tricks, mesmerizing and inspiring to watch. Kudos!
Yall kill it every video! literally my favorite youtube channel. Your videos are such an inspiration, it helped motivate/ educate me to start my own journey into glassblowing. All I have left is to find an oxygen supplier and a kiln. Thank you guys so much for putting these videos out, keep up the good work! love yall!
amazing work! This sherlock came out beautiful! You make it look easy but I know better. I could use a new one to give my old Snodgrass a rest! I'll come see you soon! Keep up the love!
Love the channel.. nothing but positivity! I learn something new on every video. I'm just getting started lampworking and get so many ideas and help watching your videos. Keep them coming and spreading the love!
Stunning piece. As a budding hobby glass worker with poor mans set up, I’m so eager to learn technique. It’s so hard to do with a too small torch and no kiln. I’m in awe of guys like you who create such beautiful works of art and make it look so easy. Maybe with better equipment it is easier, but no torch or kiln can take away the technical skills. You guys inspire guys like me to keep at it and to want to learn the next thing. Thank you. Now what can we do about the cost of equipment and glass? So darn expensive
what a amazing piece an technique. I have been binge watching your videos and learning so much thank you for all your time you guys put in to help others.
This is so amazing! I check in to your channel way too little. You got me interested in the actual craft thanks for that! Have to create something on the torch at some pont in my life. Cheers!
This pipe is so clean! Sherlocks have always been my favorite style pipe! Retti came out great also! Fav part of the process as far as watching goes is trying to figure out the order the pieces will be assembled in!
Love this piece! Gives me great inspiration for the pieces I’m working on! Been blowing for 7 years and watching revere glass for at least that long 👊👊
This is awesome, I’ve been waiting for this video, this style Sherlock. Awesome to see his style. I order pipes for my shop from my fellow glass blowers and it’s cool to see my customers pick my pipes out from the rest, everyone has there own style. I dig that in glass. Glass is such an awesome thing. I’ve never been an artist and it’s weird to call myself that now but I do express myself through my work. Sick vid boys I appreciate it!
Dope demo! Always love watching the symmetry of glass. Especially adding in the retti section 😍 im an amateur glassblower, mainly pendants for now. Soon tubing I can’t wait! Sick piece y’all! Would love to add something from y’all eventually to the collection!
I've been doing a lot of experimenting with different shapes and techniques on the furnace. Mostly foots and cane work. Currently studying glass in a small little college in upstate New York. No flame working sadly but its where I started. hope to get back on the torch soon!
Super dope piece! Love all the detail and commentary on these videos. The best part of watching these videos is how the final piece comes from so many different initial shapes. Thank you for all your insight! Hope to win the giveaway!
Love your channel and vision is amazingly beautiful I have just picked up the amazing art I am hoping I can save quick enough for a lathe but honestly watching you and your guests inspire me so much I will not give I will be good some day soon I just want to thank you guys for showing us this amazing footage.
definitely going to be trying out both of your color sleeving techniques! also that tech of connecting encalmos on the L marver.... like duhh how have i never tried that XD
Oh man what a beautiful piece! So inspiring, I can’t wait to be able to make something like this. My life would be so complete if I had or could make a piece like this! Amazing video!
