Return of the Board of Progress Strikes Back 

Okay, so now we've heard 6 out of 13 songs from the Board of Progress!! I would call that... progress...

Who knew watching people draw lines could be so exciting.

And 7 years later we are finally getting this album 🎉

I love that they decided to do the board at Danny's house while Danny was just in his studio the whole time haha

Im here in 2020 after the release of 'Happiness' and I wanted to research their old videos. Also Harry and Tom talking to Dougie in a calm baby voice never gets old

This video made me really happy :) I love plotting stuff out on paper when you're working on things. For the last album we worked on, we had a flip chart and each song had its own page with lots of notes and doodles all over it.

I love how long it takes Dougie to take out a sharpie from the packet!!

What I love about this videos is that they actually are invested in the music they make together. I don't think another band is this invested to their music. Mcfly goes on writing trips and have these boards of progress and I just think it is admirable.

Did anyone else sit there when the screen went "33 ÷ 15 =" and just think "it's 2.2" and then Tom's just like "1.94...blabla378..." and then you just think "holy Hera what on earth did he put into that calculator?"

33 divided by 15 = 2.2 boys!

The album will probably never be released in the form you see here considering fans will have heard a lot of the songs already. There are liveversion of Red and Touch the Rain, Love is Easy, Cherry Cola and Do Whatcha were on the Best Of album and Love is on the Radio was released as the lead single when they still thought that they'd release the album. So thats basiclly half the songs on the album right there. The question is what'll happend to the other songs. In all honesty they've probably written loads of songs since so they will be more inclined to put the new ones on a future album.

You guys make me happy inside, I can't wait to hear these songs. =)

I think the stickers are meant to mark whether they have recorded that parts of the songs that they have recorded. Like if they have recorded the bass parts for Love is easy, they put a sticker in that box

Love these guys they are so awesome and make life so much better hence the reason why the win best band. Definitely has character guys. I totally see Bass and love that Harry is supervisor. Awesome job! :) Love the song at 6:08!

It's their method of keeping track of which parts (instruments, vox, misc.) have been recorded for each song and what parts need to be done yet.

I feel a bit embarrassed by how much I enjoyed watching you drawing lines and painting stuff for 10' min ..maybe it just because I have a really boring life but I loved every min of it..=)

When I looked at the picture of the board of progress I was confused but after watching this video...I'm still confused but happy it has a story behind it :D

i think where the stickers are placed means that instrument for that particular song has been recorded, so it just shows what needs to be done...something along the lines of that :)

Yeah I understand that, this is sort of their 2nd best of album as they did 'All the Greatest Hits'. All the songs from the normal version of Memory Lane I have, so I didn't want to just buy them again, I ordered the Deluxe edition expecting RED and a couple of other new songs as it was advertised/listed when I ordered it on Amazon and as mentioned in this video... when you get told you're going to get to hear/have something it's a let down when you don't.
