Billy and I grew up together. I was an only child but he was my Brother. He lived down the road but stayed at my house as often as he could. We rode bikes and trains together until I went off to college in 1963. I'm 79 and can't get out from here in Ohio. This presentation brought Billy up close and I'll cherish it. Thank you!! Will Barrett
This was great! I could sit and listen to the stories from the older gentleman. He was a very well spoken and humorous person. Let's not forget the locomotives. Gorgeous Alco's
My dad worked 35 years for the D&H. A clerk I believe. Started in Riparius and finished in North Creek. My mom received his pension check till she passed. Glad I came a crossed this video
A very nice presentation. The first locomotives that I ran in my railroading career were Alcos, an S2 and S4. They were great runners and easy to work on. They helped prepare me for my move to Class 1 railroading with Conrail, a few years later. An excellent video, for sure.
Corey this was a truly beautiful video. This was amazing! I really enjoyed hearing Mr. Billy’s story. This will be one day that he will never forget. 💯☺️❤
Thank you for the kind words Wayne! Wish I had planned on actually doing video, but I'm still happy out this came out haha. If you're ever in the Upstate NY area you'll have to come see the RS-3s pulling our passenger train! We're having a blast with em'!
@@RsTrainsonYT You're welcome Corey! Oh yeah, "If ever." Well we can only hope. Still, it's pretty remarkable that not just one, but TWO veteran locomotives return to a preserved railroad they actually operated on decades ago. And even better when they're cool old diesels like RS-3's!
Glad you enjoyed DelHudson!! Had such a great time that day and any time Bill starts talking, I always like to record his stories! I think my father and I burnt our phones out filming this but it was all worth it!
@@RsTrainsonYT I was out in Saratoga springs this past Thursday and it’s too bad I couldn’t find any time to make the short drive up to Corinth… maybe soon though! Also what happened to the Instagram?
A beautiful ceremony for a beautiful pair of locomotives. Amazing to see them on home rails, thanks for recording this for the future and sharing it with us who couldn't be there Corey!
