Return to Castle Wolfenstein is "kind of" a retelling of the events of the original Wolfenstein 3D, with Blazkowicz escaping castle Wolfenstein and then dealing with the paranormal division of the 3rd Reich (So it's kind of Episodes 1&2 from Wolf3D). Developed by Gray Matter studios (formerly Xatrix Entertainment, now part of Treyarch) and released in 2001 using IdTech 3 (Quake 3). The game also features a legendary multiplayer mode developed by Nerve Software and Splash Damage. The multiplayer mode is avaiable free as "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory".
I love this game, replayed the hell out of it over the years. It's already a story driven game, but the action is fast, very arcadey, and very straightforward. The game featured excellent level design (albeit lineal), and gorgeous visuals. I remember having a blast playing it in 2048x1536 back in the day.

Desarollado por Gray Matter Studios (anteriormente Xatrix Entertainment, ahora parte de Treyarch) y lanzado en 2001 usando IdTech3 (Quake 3). El juego también incluye un legendario modo multijugador desarrolado por Nerve Software y Splash Damage. El multijugador está disponible gratuitamente como "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory".
Amo este juego, lo he rejugado mucho a lo largo de los años. Ya es un juego desarrollado en base a su historia, pero la acción es rápida, muy arcade, y sin complicaciones. El juego tenía excelente diseño de niveles (aunque lineales), y lucía muy bien. Recuerdo gozarlo jugando en 2048x1536 en su día.
