this episode is so cool but i cannot handle the fact that Grizzly called dolphins MARSUPIALS instead of porpoises cause marsupials are like, kangaroos and lemurs and stuff

I just love Gillion, he's an innocent fish boy that doesn't know the laws and the traditions of the land dwellers and slowly but surely adapts. Poor thing is horribly gullible and gets manipulates into doing the stupidest shit, mainly because of Chip, and have to meet the outcome of those decisions. As heroic and pure as Gillion is, he's baby XD

I just imagine Gillian just flopping on the deck after he hops out of the water.

i think Gillian is just slowly becoming a beast master ranger and honestly i think that would really suit him

Fun fact about why pirates have eye patches, it's not always because they have a messed up eye, it's actually used to be able to fight in the dark because that eye has become accustomed to the darkness of the eyepatch, giving them the advantage

48:55 Shadowlord is one of my favorite OSTs of all time, and one that I think is criminally underused. For some reason this was one of the last places I thought I would hear it, and now here I am about to go listen to it for like 2 hours.

I thought they where gone by the first ep of riptide but they are finally back THE ONE PIECE REFERENCES

the way the characters explain what happened in the previous episodes every time a new one comes out is great. when they were under attack by bugs chip was frantic and in a rush and in the last episode he was hungover. (headcanon) A way to describe it, it's like the viewers are seeable spectators or something. And for some reason, the spectator forgets what happened so the characters explain while doing the actions where it last left off on. Now, what the spectators are idk, and how many there are idk. Also, what do the spectators look like, why do the characters just accept they're existent, where do the spectators go after the recap, and why don't the characters start back up like nothing happened when the spectators. I think that ever since the disappearance of three main characters from the demo one-shots, each character speaks to the character that they were the most connected to. Chip sees Arlan, Gill sees Finn, and Jay sees Drey. Why they accept their existence, I think at first they thought it was the ghosts of the old party members, but after a while, they realised that it wasn't them and they use them as a coping mechanism. Also, to answer the last two questions, I think that the spectators have some kind of power to simulate the event where the podcast last left on and where they would be at that time, and after that interaction, the main characters will forget them and only remember them in those simulations. That would explain why only one character recaps at a time because the spectators find it easier to talk to one character at a time to get a recap, and when needed to not break the immersion, will simulate what the other characters are doing so that the character they are speaking to thinks that what their doing is actually happening. While the spectators speak to the specific character, in the campaign world that character is staring out blankly mumbling what they're saying to spectators, and when they're done they blink a bit and immediately go do what the player says they do. Now the question of what the spectators are actually, who really know, this was just an idea I wanted to post that was supposed to just be saying that the ways the character recap the intros are cool but now it's this so yeah. I know this was dumb
