This was truly adult-worthy animation. Doug Wildey knew his stuff.

I like the fact that the apes uses modern technology unlike the movies.

This show messed me up and inspired me in equal measure as a kid.

@EHeroAndrew Its been almost forty years but it was a prehistoric creature who was hibernating in a lake in the Forbidden Zone and a piece of road gravel from one of the Ape's army jeeps' tires was flung into the lake, beaned the creature on the head(I'm serious) and woke it up.

i love the apes but i did not like this as a kid but i do now as a adult.

Why didn't they use the original actors to voice the characters: Roddy McDowell, Nathalie Trudy, Marice Evans, Kim Hunter, Linda Harrison, and Claude Atkins.

I have to wonder what urco would need an army for if there were no humans?
