This particular Ape canon, considering it was a cartoon, was surprisingly well-written. Even the ending was deliberately left ambivalent. It would have been easy to come up with some childish plot device to get our heroes back to their own time but it was already proven in an earlier episode that they never got back and were given up for lost. They were fated to live out their lives on this future-Earth and re-introduce the humans to civilization. As for what happens next, no one knows. Do the Apes accept this revelation about their history? Is there a war? I don't think even fan fiction has tried to answer.
Sadly, this was the last episode. That monster-snake-bird-thing was SO ANNOYING!!!!! It would NOT STOP SHRIEKING!!!!!! Even when Kigor flung it around and threw it to the ground!!
I WISH they would update this show because IT had a lot of potential!!!!!!!!!!! They could finally use their Great Book to bring about peace in their time and bring about a new 🌎 of peace and understanding!!!!!!!!! Hey "A Day At The Zoo"will finally become a great read!!!!!!!!
In just 3000 years, apes have paralleled human evolution. Same art, same architecture and even Asian forms of apes with the same philosophy. Perhaps the writers took too many shortcuts.
