Zak and I headed back to the windfarm. Unlike last time, when the conditions were excellent, this time the conditions were more tricky: Enough swell to make you think hard about a small boat, and current which was brutal to swim against (it's a long way out if something goes wrong). I wish I had video of swimming with the current and approaching the tower at around 5mph, and I'm glad I don't have it of the painful struggle approaching from the other way.
What is really interesting, is that there are random currents going up the turbines in some parts as well. Diving down you allmost stall and have to kick unexpectidly hard to progress.
Regardless of the conditions, we persisted. Both getting bag-limit decent sized bass, and only starting our bream hunt before the current beside the towers became so strong, we decided to call it a day based on safety.
It was still a great day, even if now I am a little sore from bumping up and down on the boat at speed for over an hour.
Some of the bass made it into a bass pasta. It’s always better when it’s wild and fresh.
