This is a bit of a rabbit hole to go down. But I honestly enjoy Spider-Man, Captain America and Thor even though they are not Christians (or real). I enjoy going to basketball games, even though I don't approve of how most of the players live their life outside of the game. I also don't agree with a lot of the political things that the NBA has endorsed in recent years as well. But I still appreciate the game of basketball and the skill that these people display. My concern is that if someone draws the line and says that we aren't allowed to enjoy X, Y, and Z (like the things I previous mentioned) because of what it is linked to, where does that line of thinking end? Would it be sinful to allow my daughter to own a pet mouse since Mickey is also a mouse and is linked to Disney? What are your thoughts on where that line should be, my friend? If you know of a specific Bible verse that is applicable, that would help as well. God bless!

I would pray about these things and then follow your conscience. Also, consider that by having these things as your background you are actively promoting them, which is a step beyond just partaking of them. If you decide you're comfortable with promoting them, I suppose you'll be in good company as other Christian youtubers such as Sean McDowell also do so, which is also why I quit watching or subbing to him. It's definitely no easy task to not partake of the world's entertainment since it is so intertwined with our American culture, but also remember that we are called to not be conformed but to be transformed. God bless you, brother, and I pray for your success in spreading the truth of Christ. This was a powerful interview.
