Hi Dave. Sorry for the inconvenience. We have conducted an investigation. The previous customer of this unit told us that the unit is not installed. It's no longer needed so he returned it. We are apologize that because our warehouse colleagues relied too much on the customer's return notes, they did not unpack the unit's wiring harness and turn it on for further inspection, which caused inconvenience to you. We have already disciplined our employees in this matter. And we will further optimize our refurbished unit inspection process. Your feedback and support for Eonon is always appreciated. We will listen to your suggestions and continuously optimize our products and services. Sorry again for this mistake. Have a nice holidays!😊
Hi Dave. I'm enjoying following your videos. Last fall, I bought a '06 Jetta (only 134,000 km!) and purchased a VWA12 head unit from Eonon's website. With the backup camera, my car feels very up-to-date. I didn't discover your channel until after I installed the unit but happy anyway as I have a good 5g plan on my phone for Android Auto. Next time I purchase a unit, though, I'll have your channel as a resource for recommedations and advice. Thanks again from Prince George, BC, Canada!
Mine was set to type 2 to get the factory camera to work but it would leave the screen blank until the parking sensor system turned off at 5mph. I changed the setting to type 3 and it now switches the camera off and goes back to the previous screen but with the parking sensor display on the left until 5mph. So it is probably down to the cars protocol on the canbus for switching devices.
As long as they do stick to their word then yes a refurbished unit is a cheaper option. I think they should change the wording to RETURNED rather than refurbished
Hi Dave, I got an Android unit for my Highlander from a different source that uses the same black plug and I had the same issue with it. After doing some investigation I figured out what was wrong. The yellow wire on pin 2 is the main 12v supply to the device. The red wire you were looking at on pin 3 is the accessory power. That is the signal that wakes the unit up. My adapter had that wired to the wrong pin on the chassis side that had nothing connected to. If you want to test if the unit is good, jump the thicker yellow wire (pin 2) and the red wire (pin 3). If you have voltage on the yellow wire and a good ground on the black one it will turn on. I hope this helps someone!
@@whatsdavedone104 ok no worries thanks anyway this obdeleven is doing my head in I bought the the white one and the head unit still doesn't pick up in the Bluetooth search 🤦
Having a bit of an issue with my q53 pro its loading android auto up every single time with me telling it to and it wont connect to my mobile hotspot when android auto is loaded any help is appreciated thanks
You can't run a mobile hotspot when using android auto, it not a fault of the unit...it just they way android units run. You would need to turn off and close android auto to reconnect a hotspot
Turn off your Bluetooth, on phone. Turn the unit on, open android auto app then tap the cog in bottom right corner, turn off "back ground connection" with that set to off you can control when it opens by tapping android auto app
