Nice video, man. We’re more than half way through our trial and my wife is the one having discomfort issues. We are in the middle of the return process and we were just offered the gel mattress topper. I think we’re going to take them up on the offer by getting the topper and seeing if fixes her discomfort. Thanks for the comment. Yeah I really like the topper. It’s pretty dang soft so you kinda go from really firm to very soft.. I may try a new topper in the future but the memory foam has been working so far!
Nectar is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Not only do they force you to keep the mattress for 30 days in addition of delivery delays, they also have one of the worst customer service ever. I spent almost a whole month going back and forth trying to return my mattress. Pass this company hard.
Oh man that's not good. I may be returning mine if a gel topper doesn't work. I hope their customer service has improved. Sorry you went through so much.
Just starting the return, I called at 25 days to start return. was told I need to try mattress for at least 30 days, Called them today, they gave me some c...p about 1 month being 31 days? They told me to call back tomorrow. Ok will do. So far I am not impressed with their customer service. They didn't give me shit when they took my money.
We got our nectar mattress just over 2 years ago! We're still very happy with it. We didn't like the nectar pillows though - they were very uncomfortable, but they came free with the mattress so we didn't really care. Now we got different pillows and the sleep is soooo goooood! Personally I would recommend the nectar mattress but I understand everyone likes different things :)
Going through with my own return and been in contact with Nectar 3 times in 6 days. I still haven't been able to get anywhere with the return yet. Mattress 3 out of 5, Service 1 out of 5. Customer service 0 out of 5
I recently bought a purple mattress for our upstairs, we’ve been using the Nectar for the last 2 years but wanted to try something different. So far I like it better
I ordered mine 2wk ago. Found out that once mattress is opened, $150 is deducted from refund amount since pillows are in with the mattress. Being paraplegic and on a fixed income, I had to return it without being able to try it. Couldn't take the chance. Glad your's is OK. ;-)
What!? I wasn't told that but then again IT'S extremely impossible to get a hold of them, no one is answering phone calls and their chat queues are ridiculous I've had to give up waiting. I really hope they don't charge me, guess i shouldn't have tried doing something nice for my birthday- sucks!!
If you buy the mattress through TheBedGuy.com SandmanBed.com PureSleep or most local mattress stores, I can tell you most of them could care less about the pillows. They are usually very happy to switch out a standard nectar for a Lush, Prime or DreamCloud for the price difference.
Thanks for this. I haven't had my Nectar for 30 days yet, but I noticed discomfort in my neck, shoulder and upper back since I started using it. It's just a bit too firm for me. I didn't realize they offer a gel foam topper until I watched this so I'll have to try that first before I return.
It took me a little while to get used to it. (Maybe I didn’t technically get USED to it since I still have the topper on) I think you’ll like it a lot more after you get it
I had the same issue. The mattress is too firm for me so they’re sending a mattress topper to me. This just happened after watching this video. So I hope it helps.
I have gone thru Bear and Ghostbed returns for being to firm and having discomfort in neck and shoulder area after sleeping a full 7 hours. Not good mattresses for people under 200 lbs.
I find the mattress too firm for me. I am used to a pillow top style mattress. Call me old fashioned but I’m going to try a mattress at a bedroom store before buying it. Probably will be returning this Nectar we ordered a few weeks ago. Seems too rigid for my taste.
Same here. I've always had a pillow top mattress but was excited to try nectar memory foams. Unfortunately it's too firm for me and giving me some pain in my neck shoulder and upper back. I haven't had it 30 days yet so just been trying to like it. I think I need to return or try that memory gel topper that they offer.
I bought the basic Nectar King. It is comfy but man is it hot sleeper. Boiling hot. I too received the mattress topper after letting them know about my discomfort. The topper makes the already soft bed a fluffy mess - and it's still too hot. They are making me wait to return the mattress - but it is getting returned. I suspect they will attempt to make me buy their "cool" mattress at nearly double the price. Not happening..
Any chance you have an update on getting a refund?? I am having the same problem I wake up dripping in sweat every night I hate it. I’m afraid they aren’t going to refund me and they will just try to resell me on other things. Any info would be greatly appreciated😁
I wish there were a video on how to decompress and return the mattress. My question is what does Nectar do with all the returns? Recondition them and sell to the public at full price?
@@xiaho498 I ended getting a new mattress sent to me and then nectar emailed me saying to just throw away the other mattress… so we gave it to a friend who didn’t care about the defects lol 🤷🏻♂️😂
Anyone under 200lbs will feel discomfort unless it's the premier. For the price of the mattress adding a layer of memory foam will help. At that point your still not paying the 2700$ you would for a purple.
they also claim on there website that they don't sell a memory foam mattress topper and that its a "temporary" solution in one of there write ups on the website lol
Hey Wes! So I got a mattress from Nectar and I have not had any luck in reaching Nectar to return matress, its soggy not firm at all. I am working from home and I sink down while sitting on bed, it's very hot and I did not get sheets, actually these are still out there- I am not happy mattess & sheets are different size, its just not a pleasant purchase. . .was treating myself for my bday but nope we're not a match, its going back.
@@cardielfernandez2771 give it a couple weeks of sleeping on it before you make a decision. I am a stomach sleeper so I hated it at first but now I do like it! I do not love the pillows it comes with though so I kept my old one! My husband said it's really helped his back.
It has been a.torture for me try to return this matress smells horrible and I cannot even sleep on it because I would not stop sneezing 🤧 I just want my money back at.this time .... do not buy with them they will make hell to return this junk
Lissette, I am right with you. Wes they are not helpful. I am sorry but they dont even try -I too have been waiting to hear about returnin mine and, and with this pandemic we cant go out there😪 it really sucks! Sucks, sucks!
Thank you for the review. I was thinking of purchasing from nectar. However, after reading your review and a few others, I have decided to pass on this company. Don't need the headache, just a good night's sleep 😴
