Reubens Laurel is one of my favorite cars ever! I've been watching drift culture since 2005. I love the retro style. I was actually star struck when I met Reuben at his pit/depot spot at Gatebil Rudskogen, he was there alone and with a girl I think. Reuben looked so tired and down I didn't dare to "bother" him, I'm sorry for that and I wish I had introduced myself and said something uplifting instead. Riveted wide arches are one of those things you either love or hate, I personally love them, particularly when added to an actual race car, or at least a car with a modified engine. This generation Laurel is really cool in my opinion, they're a great fkn platform, everyone on the MarkII/Corona chassis, but the Laurel is just as good. Four thumbs up for the way you build it, I'd absolutelyove to have this one 👌🏻🖤🏴‍☠️

The amount of trackdays I go to where people spend huge money on the greatest mods possible then spend the day led underneath the cars or are terrified of stuff going wrong. My car has fairly basic suspension/brake/safety/cooling upgrades with pretty much stock engine and I’ve done years of trackdays/Nurburgring trips all driving there and back. I’d love something crazy, but simple is often the best!

The Advan livery was amazing, and I reckon whatever you land on with the new kit will be amazing as well. We never got any of the fun versions of the Laurel here, I think most all I've ever seen were the shoddy 2.8 diesel version, but I did always appreciated the boxyness of it!

I'd love to see the Laurel 2-toned to match the kit and black on top.

Been waiting for this video, I frickin love the Laurel and can't wait to see V2! I love how you keep referring to it as a "cheap, basic build". Y'all are extremely fortunate in Ireland having access to a lot of JDM parts. Just those brakes and gearbox would be BIG money here in the states.
